A couple of issues with New Backup (beta)
« on: September 03, 2021, 07:02:57 PM »
A couple of issues with New Backup (beta).
1. I am not seeing any email backups (vmail) in the local backups backups. Where is "vmail" backed up in the New Backup (beta)?

2. The %backup%.tar.gz files are being left on the server after the FTP transfer completes.
Is this by design or is there a bug?

Thanks

Anyone else experiencing this or have any information on it?

I wouldn't use the FTP backup, it overwrites the daily backup every day (not storing in dated folders).

See here, I made a different backup solution yesterday (storage on Amazon S3 buckets is $0.025/GB/month):

Has something changed to where the New Backup is just creating account.tar.gz in the /newbackup/%weekday%/accounts folder and no longer creating a folder for each account and just backing up flat to those folders?

What's the verdict on the new backup?

I'm finding that it's not backing up everything. Had to restore an account and found that the archive didn't get the sql database for the account.
