Backup (beta) always running? Tips?

Hi all,

First time poster but fairly long time user of CWP. This forum has provided me with many tips over the years so thanks.

I've been taking a look at the "new" backup in beta. It looks great but I've not really been having a great time with it?

So I thought I'd give it a try and mount an external volume and run a daily job. It seems to ALWAYS be running. I have about 25 sites in various differnet formats, total size is no more than 10GB I'd say so why does it take so long?

I don't mind using the old backup client until the beta is more realiable but it just seems a bit iffy?

Has anybody got any tips or share these woes?
