Why does it take so much disk useage?
« on: December 12, 2019, 12:11:53 PM »
i have some website on my VPS. The filesize for folder "home" is 11gb. its ok. But  i wonder why do some other folders take so much disk useage like this? PLease see these picture:
1: https://i.gyazo.com/fcc5ce9c72c9acc07a1ea94bd5662990.png
2: folder "user" takes 24GB? What the hell ?

3: i follow the path to see. example for the folder "apache" . i see the log file is the biggest file:

4: But when i click to the logs file, it takes me to the root folder with only the "swapfile" with the biggest size:

5: I check other folders with big size and also see the same thing. The matter comes with the log file.
Example: for the  maldetect folder:

The logs file takes the biggest size too.
Someone please tell me whats happenning, please.
My VPS is 55GB from Vultr, but the CWP is telling me that its 88% full of diskspace @@
Thats really a big matter. Would you please help me.
Thanks

Your problem isn't to do with CWP, it's your lack of knowledge in managing a server.
CWP in itself is actually quite lightweight compared to some alternative panels, easily fitting into 7GB, along with Centos 7.

I suggest beginning with reading about logrotate.
