this depends on your disk speed and if you have many files then you would need to wait for sometime for the task to comlete

Unfortunately waiting for 10 minutes after clicking "File System Lock" does not work.
My Server has 16GB RAM and XEON Dual Processors. The Account on which I want to enable File System Lock has just the wordpress installation. Is there any other way where i can access this option or any page link.

Thanks.

Hi, try the command below for the locking.
Code: [Select]
chattr -R +i /home/USER/public_html where USER is the user which must be locked.

Is file lock only an option for users other than root?

Hi, just for users. I do not think it should be for the root.
If somebody has the root permissions nothing helps.

i see, if i have my "domains" in the root folder inside the webspace ex: /home/"user"/here instead /home/"user"/public_html/

the filelock didnt work... i can upload any files in this folder, public_html is correct locked.

pls add this functionality to user panel :)

i have sorted them like that:

dir: /home/user/

domain1.tld
sub1.domain1.tld
sub2.domain1.tld
domain2.tld
sub1.domain2.tld

and the primary domain under public_html

Fix option File Lock option (File System Lock) does not change the status - if it was active, when I log in to the user and I want to deactivate it, it deactivates but the status remains as if it was activated and this is confusing. In CWP7: 0.9.8.1062 you mentioned improvements to the User Panel - but it doesn't work properly
