Title: Getting "It Works" page on IP address
Post by: mlusername on July 04, 2017, 01:49:35 PM
Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right part of the forum - or indeed anything to do with CWP - but obviously need to ask to discount it?

I have centos cwp installed on centos 7.

Everytime I put in my real IP address bar, I get the html page headed 'It Works!'

Is this anything to do with cwp, or something else I need to look at? Or, if its not, what page should be displayed normally with cwp, if the static ip is entered into the browser address bar?

Many thanks
Mark

after you install it you must create account after that you can browse the domain name so basically its need domain name to work. if you open ip address it will get only centos welcome.

Hi, thanks for replying.

Well I have various accounts (domains) setup and are working okay, but as I say I am getting the above 'it works' page with the direct IP?

So, (and forgive my lack of knowledge) I have the ns server domain of - for example - server1.domain.com at the domain provider dns records, pointing at my home server. And also, I have the domain of 'domain.com' setup also with hosting on my home server.

My understanding is that the ns domain for the cwp panel becomes the main cwp panel domain, so my question is: wouldn't the ns domain for the server point to the hosting for this domain which is already set-up, if the ip is accessed direct?

Apols if I'm not explaining correctly, but I'm giving it a shot! :-)    Thanks

Yes, I want...
I want to run a website by IP. So How to add a static IP to my domain name.

for Example
<IP Address 1> www.website1.com
<IP Address 2> www.website2.com
<IP Address 3> www.website3.com
<IP Address 4> www.website4.com

even we want to give static IP to a Sub Doman. How to give?

I need step by step help.

Thanks!

that is a pure waste of the IP addresses, there are servers having 1000-10 000 domains on the single IP and in this moments when there is almost no any IPv4 running each site on the separate IP is a pure waste of the IP addresses.

Configuration of the IP addresses needs to be done on the server networking setup, in CWP per account and in the vhost configuration of the webservers you are using.
