User redirects to another domain - Unable to fix
« on: September 17, 2023, 07:08:47 PM »
I originally added a new domain (domain2.com) to an existing user (user1) with a Folder Path of : /home/user1

I have now removed domain2.com from user1 and want to set it up as a user. I have deleted all domains from user1. And I have created a new user2 with the domain name of domain2.com

The problem I have is that domain2.com 301 redirects to the domain associated with user1 (domain1.com)

I have tried everything I can think of to remove the redirect and spent hours searching Google for an answer but I have had no luck.

I have been successful in creating user3 with a domain name of domain3.com and that works fine but any attempt to set-up user2 with domain2.com results in that domain redirecting to domain1.com

Any help resolving would be very much appreciated

Did you look at the root_cwp database and clear any relevant entries under the subdomains table?

Thanks for helping out overseer. I did. Both domains and subdomains tables are empty

I fixed it! I think that it was just luck in the end from trying a great many things. The issue was being caused by a Wordpress plugin called Really Simple SSL. I renamed the plugin via File Manager and then commented out the Really Simple SSL section in the .htaccess file.
