PHP Switcher ERROR

Hello, I have been trying to install cwp as always but on my last two machines when trying to change the PHP version from the PHP Switcher it gives me a single error at the end and I cannot find the cause, I attach the log. I tried the free and pro versions and I got the same result.

"Failed to Download PHP version 8.2.17!" , If I try to download another version I get the same result and with the PHP 8.2 message even if I don't choose this one. Has this ever happened to you? Do you know what it could be?, thanks .

Failed to Download PHP version 8.2.17!

What machine do you use? Is there any network issue from accessing the PHP repository?

I was able to solve it by installing the system again and not updating the yum, I installed cwp and it worked there 

If you're starting with a fresh installation, I would suggest AlmaLinux 8 as a better foundation for a server. As a rolling release, CentOS 8 Stream is not suitable for server duty, even with delayed repos.

I am having the same problem.

a fresh updated vm system that runs nothing and is only being used to test and try out.

that is the mssage i get. the firewall is empty / no blocks so that cant be the issue.

whats happening ?

Install a NON-beta operating system like AlmaLinux 8 like @overseer recommended and you won't have a problem.

CentOS 8 is dead, and has been dead. CentOS Stream is a beta operating system for RHEL.
Fedora is the alpha.

Fedora (alpha) -> Stream (beta) -> RHEL

i do not know Alma Linux. I am a total linux noob any ways. I used centos because a friend of me used it for some servers we used back in the time and i learned some over the years. but it keeps changing and drives me crazy, just when i finally memorised procedures and commands.. they gone and replaced again with just a little different syntax.

So i guess im going to set upa alma linux vm and see how that goes.

Im not running production, i just use for my own websites and website creation and such,  so i simply reinstall my baremetal server when Alma runs better.

Lets see.

If you know RH commands, then they are all the same.
RHEL, AlmaLinux/CloudLInux, RockyLinux, etc.

The only real major one is yum is now dnf. But yum still works in 8.

AlmaLinux runs the best out of all the distros. We have it running on all of the productions and mirror servers.

OK, there is a MAJOR BUG in 0.9.8.1177
Just posted it under bugs, and reported it to CWP.

I just tried to start updating PHP to 8.2.17, running AlmaLinux 8.9, "Failed to Download PHP version 8.2.17!"

As you can see ziptool is installed. :/
And no other updates are available.

CWP got the bug fixed. 

It turned out to be a CWP bug in the backend that has since been resolved on 2024-03-22.
