Your faithful employee,

I have not done any upgrades or site refreshes

This has been happening for months

My worry is someone has hacked a mail account and sending SPam

I have limited outgoing emails to 20 per hour

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thank you

I change the password for the Root every month.

I cannot change all the email address passwords and logins .

If I could only find out Which email address or service is causing this , i can narrow down the options

I see, updating 300 email passwords and letting 300 people know what their new password is without using an email seems like a crazy task. if i could only find out the ONE email account that is a problem - would be what i am looking for.

oopppsss my mistake.... you do not mention that was 300 users
forgive me...

well, the only way is to monitor your SMTP,
and yes ...you need open your eyes 24/7
why need to open your eyes 24/7 ?
because you are hosting provider.....

and

==> My worry is someone has hacked a mail account and sending SPam

you are hosting provider, right? then that is no need to worry (today) because shared hosting and hosting business will close to spam, exploit resources and etc.

This is what i cannot understand.

CWP does not show me any out of the ordinary traffic.

90% account are received only. They do not email back to me as they are iot accounts

9% are my own accounts +- 50 email addresses
the balance is one of my Hosting clients who sends traffic between their casinos and is minimal, spreadsheets end of day reports ect

and if you have 4++ ram
turn on all security and antivirus
