can't login to phpmyadmin
« on: February 17, 2018, 01:18:49 PM »
hey!
I cannot connect to pma even with root or any user I created
I have installed a wp site to see if that can connect and it was connecting successfully but I am unable to login and edit the tables etc..
I thought if I buy the pro version it will fix the issue by installing comodo Mod Security rules but nothing happened
I appreciate if anyone can give me an urgent response

Hi,

The MPA login requires your MySQL root password which is very different to your CWP root password & was shown to you when you first installed CWP. Make sure your using the correct password.

The MySQL root password  format looks like this: pAYGH6koKNlU

i have tried with a different browser and have the MySQL root password even change it
even when i create users i can't login i give ALL PRIVILEGES access by ssh but still no result
not a newbie to centOS but i've tried so many ways
it will create users and connect in the background but will not login in UI

Did you check the webrowser console for error messages, also the logs for webserver and sql. Somewhere therein should be a hint of what is going wrong. Also try to disbale mod_security, assuming that SELinux is disabled in the first place.

I'm having the same issue?

Anyone with the fix please? none of the suggestions here work...

Why cant I just login with the username and password that was made for the account like all cpanel accounts to without a problem?

This centos is doing my head in, nothing but problems and the admins here dont bother to even help and reply on their own stuff.

Could anyone be kind enough to help me figure out how to login to this myphpadmin please?

What I noticed was weird was it was asking me for a different password when creating a MYQSL user.. why does it ask for a seperate password? its never asked me for one before.

A user dbname and password are all that are needed.

if i click to just to create the database, it asks to create a pw.
if i click to just create a username, it asks me to create a pw.
if i click to create a user and a database name, it asks me to create a pw

so why are the processes asking for two different passwords to be made for each when it should be just for one?

Any way, Ive entered all my usernames and passwords to my name that I know of for this domain im trying to setup with a database, but i still cant login to this nonsense...

anyone have a workaround on Centos faulty stuff?

Thanks guys, appreciate it

what do you mean by different password ?

from mysql manager DB user and database are always created with different password

you can choose any password you want
