Hi,
I've followed complete guide but still getting the following error:
Usage on Password:
Successful operation
The following error occurred (false )
Usage on Private Key
Error Connecting
An error occurred while trying to connect to the server, please check that all data is correct
Though Firewall is not enabled and have already tried enabling it with ports open. All data is correct & verified multiple times!
Thanks

What version is your centos?
-
Source Server: CentOS release 6.9 (Final)
Target Server: CentOS release 6.10 (Final)
-
Please check that the following file exists on both servers
/etc/hostname
This bug was solved and will be released for our next update.
For now you can create these empty files if they do not exist and you can continue
This only applies to CWP6
Please let me know how it went

Tried but same error!
-
% apikey?
-
API was created earlier.
You want me to generate again?
-
please edit the api key and place it to receive requests from any IP and try again
-
Tried to replace Source Server's IP with % in API but didn't worked.
-

I suggest you to contact CWP team directly with the login details so that they can personally look into your matter.

Same error for me too.
Firstly I tried to migrate from cwp6 to cwp7.
I follow instructions step by step, but it's not working.
firewall was disabled, ssh port 22, I created api key & ssh key... I double checked everything but it didn't work.
then I tried to migrate from cwp6 to cwp6 but still same error.

Please place the two ips of your servers on a whitelist, if you send me the summary of the transfer log I can help you solve this problem
-
For info I had the same issue and I was able to fix it by changing the root password with something less secure (with less special characters) and I was able to finally save it without the successful false error.
-
I've tried everything in this post and still am receving
Successful operation
The following error occurred (false )
Are there any other tips? This is a really frusturating error.
Information has been triple checked, Firewalls disabled on both servers, port is correct, same OS version, same CWP version. Tried creating a blank "/etc/hostname" tried changing the password to something without special characters, tried a wildcard API key, literally everything.
If I switch to a publich SSH key metod I return the same errors as others above.

Hello
This happens when the connection is not reached, thanks to your report here, we have improved the description of the error and it will be available in our new update.

Thanks for your reply.
I missed the step of clicking "Add Public Key to Authorized"
I was not ever able to get it working with a password, but once I got the public key and click Add Public Key to Authorized it was successfully able to connnect.
