URGENT! Server down
« on: February 06, 2016, 02:52:40 PM »
Hello,

Today when i access my websites, i get 500 internal server error. Then i tried to access the control panel and i get this error message:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Connection refused in /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/admin/index.php(1) : eval()'d code(1) : eval()'d code on line 2
mysqld is stopped

Trying to start mysql server, please wait!
Try to restart CentOS Web Panel with command: service cwpsrv restart

**Check your MySQL root password in: /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/include/db_conn.php and /root/.my.cnf

Could not connect: Connection refused

What can caused this problem? i have no access to ssh so what can i do because all my data are inside.

The cwp is installed on OVH VPS server, and i have restarted the server many time, still same problem. Ftp working but i get empty directory.

Thank you very much!

Its a VPS so you should have SSH access, otherwise only your host "OVH" can solve the issue for you.

They might charge you since its unmanaged budget VPS's.

Thank you for reply,

I have contacted the support on ovh, and they said it is a cwp issue, all the services on vps working well. So, i have access to ssh, but how can i backup all data so i can reinstall the cwp or how to fix that error.?

Thank you,

Download Winscp and login with root, then transfer all important files to your PC.

Create and download a full backup for all databases using Putty SSH:
Code: [Select]
mysqldump --events --all-databases | gzip > /home/alldatabases.sql.gz
When the backup is ready, you will find it under /home/ directory using Winscp.

Once your done with backups, lets try to upgrade MySQL in hope that it might fix the error. Run the following commands in order:

Code: [Select]
cd /etc/yum.repos.d

wget http://rpms.famillecollet.com/enterprise/remi.repo

yum --enablerepo=remi update mysql-server

sudo mysql_upgrade

Once the upgrade is complete, restart your VPS and try to log into CWP admin area.

The problem is that the ssh is working only when my VPS has booted into rescue mode. The commands you give me i m sure are good but in rescue mode is not working.
