Constantly logged out
« on: September 17, 2015, 02:40:26 PM »
I just installed CWP on a Centos 6.7 64bit system.  When I login to the web panel, the system keeps auto logging me out every few seconds where it is preventing me from doing anything.  I constantly get the login box every few seconds. I have tried using google chrome and firefox browser but the issue is still happening. Please advise.

system will logout you if you have changed your IP address, that means that you need to check your connection.

I'm also facing the same issue. You can't stay logged in. You try to click anything in the control panel and you're logged out. I have not changed IPs at all. Very disturbing and I can see multiple people complain about it with no solution.

I've experienced that before, it is/was for me, Browser cache related..

I tend to use firefox (developers edition) in incognito mode entirely just for CWP now..

hope that helps.

I changed Browsers and something suggested that I use Opera and it logged me out. But then I remembered that Opera has a VPN. I turned on the VPN and does not log me out. Once in a while it fails to login. But that's okay, it's working after all.

However, after 24 hours from my first login using Google Chrome, I tried once more and it did not log me out. But when I try to access security settings it logs me out. Went back to Opera using VPN and it logged me out.

Then I remembered I had BRAVE, a very aggressive version of Google Chrome. I tried it and the user experience is out of this world. Fast logins, and able to access all sections of the Control Panel and even stay longer online without being logged out.

I'm trying to make the switch from cPanel to cwp7 and running into this sort of issue. I finally managed to get SSL working with the built-in Letsencrypt setup. No problems there, just took forever for DNS to propogate so that the SSLs could be issued.

But... after my hostname and services ssl's were updated, i started getting kicked out after login. I could log in just fine, but then any next request i was redirected bakc to login page. Tried different browsers, flushing cache, the normal routine. Nothing.

Poked around via SSH and found this.. /usr/local/cwpsrv/logs/error_log.

> tail -f /usr/local/cwpsrv/logs/error_log

[root@c1 logs]# tail -f error_log

I believe my problem involves a broken reference to the old SSL in the Apache/Nginx default setup that didn't get updated on SSL swaps.

I will be attempting to fix this and if so, i'll post an update. This could be a bug in that SSL changes from fresh install to letsencrypt and changing hostname could trigger this problem.

The major issue is that your ISP may be assigning you a dynamic IP Address and sometimes this gives CWP and even cPanel problems. I have the same issue with one of my ISPs in Nigeria (MTN Nigeria). Unless I use a VPN I won't be able to utilise CWP or even cPanel without having constant logouts.

Hello everyone, I know this is an old post but I have been pulling my hair out with this one for a few days now.
Finally figured it out. My IP wasn't changing, but the fact that I was running through Cloudflare made it think that my IP was changing all the time.

Added a CNAME called cwp, DNS only entry to Cloudflare and it hasn't logged me out yet.

I hope this helps someone else.

Thanks for the suggestion at least his pointed me to the right place to fix. We added the CNAME but it didn't help. We eventually ended up "pausing cloudflare" for that domain and the CWP worked fine and didn't log out anymore. We made changes we needed to the server and then resumed Cloud Flare.

I had the same problem, it's bad, but was just close all opened cwp tabs and in login page shift+reload to clear the cache.

You can also create a private browsing / incognito window to clear all cache & cookies. Good for a one-off access.

If anyone is still experiencing this - I've discovered its usually because I've logged in on multiple browser windows. Close all instances in all your windows/tabs and try again. If that fails then try incognito/private, or another browser.
