File manager - authentication error

Hello There,
     I recently decided to test CWP and possible move a few VPS clients from cPanel. I installed a copy on a new server and everything looks good. When I try to login to "file manager" from a cwp.client account, it asks for authentication. I try to use the same credentials as client's panel login but it shows authentication failed.

I tried Googling around a bit but no help.

This looks like an issue with the FTP server,
have you tried to add a new FTP user and then login again ?
