Hi,
How can we change the domain name from the user account?
I can only add a Alias domain now.
-
you can add an addon domain or re-create account.
-
for example: user1, domain1.com
will replace with domain2.com
its enough to update field domain in table user via database root_cwp, and also change /usr/local/apache/conf.d/vhosts.conf?
-
you can always do manual changes, but you need to know and be sure if you have made a changes on the all required places?, like mail settings and so on...

hope, admin can inform us to know the right place :D

there is many locations that would need to be changed, probably it would be easier to recreate this account.

I know it's old but ..
I changed the domain in:
CWP.admin> Apache Settings> Edit Apache vhosts
and then in the CWP database...
CWP.admin> SQL Services> phpMyAdmin> root_cwp> user

Hello Team,
Do we have any updates on this topic?
Have we added feature to update main domain of user? Is there a way to do this ? Is it possible with API calling?
Please update..
Regards..

I don't think this will ever be implemented. As stated before, one could create a new account with the proper domainname, and copy files over. Option B is to do an addon domain pointing to the root dir
The issue is, that everything in the system depends on that domain name. 2 mail programs would have to be updated as well, and to keep the old mail, a major tweak would have to be done. Don't count on it ever happening. JS

Note this is a standard feature in cPanel.
It wouldn't be that tricky to do in a script..
-
I'm not saying it's impossible. Just unrealistic when we can barely get a response on bug reports ;)

Hi
any update?
I have changed one of my domains by editing root_cwp in mysql and /usr/local/apache/conf.d/vhosts.conf.
It seems to be working well
I am using exchange mail server and cloudflare. So ssl and email have not been affected
Under these conditions, What else problems may I encounter ?
