Enquiry about API

Hi there, i was wondering, why does the API feel incomplete? There are features i'd like to be there but aren't
Backups, especially newbackup, how can i manually trigger it without logging in? It's not availavle via api and even scripts.
Manually triggering SSL renewals (Via code or terminal not logging into the dashboard)

These are the two i could come up with, if anyone knows a workaround, i'd be grateful.
