CNAME Some fields is not valid value
« on: September 18, 2020, 02:57:05 PM »

Good afternoon!

I'm trying to validate against the CNAME record that AWS provided me to validate certificate registration

when registering the CNAME in the domain I have the following error "Some fields is not valid value"

follow the information that AWS provided me below:

name:
_77bde4dce2671f64fab711abfcf22fa2.meudominio.com.br.

CNAME

value:
_fa929c6aea26ea327bc2698b3b07b739.bsgtystodg.acm-validations.aws.

how can i solve this problem?

CNAME usually only works for your domain name.

e.g. ww2. pointing to domainname.com, etc.

To point it to another domain name like they want you are going to have to use a TXT record.
