Problem with installing free dns CentOS Webpanel service

Hi All,

We have a problem with the free DNS service of CentOS webpanel.

- Domain is properly set up.

- Zones on free DNS are set up (both for xxxx.tld and www.xxxx.tld) --> is that correct or do we just need it for xxxx.tld?

- Our nameservers within the webpanel is configured as below:

  ns2.centos-webpanel.com   -    IP: 185.4.149.90

- Our DNS zone file within CentOS webpanel is as below:

Despite all, it doesn't work. Since we are really new to all of this can somebody please help us out?

Additional information: When I run a DNS check on the A records the nameservers look ok but the check gives me an error on the A record for the domain at the cent-os webpanel nameserver.

fist you will need to check on your DNS settings on the following site
http://leafdns.com

If you are using FreeDNS ns1.centos-webpanel.com and ns2.centos-webpanel.com then you do not need to edit your local dns zone files on the server, you only need to edit zone on the freeDNS website.

When I test the xxx.tld at leafDNS it gives me the following:
None of the nameservers listed by the parent nameservers are both responsive and authoritative for your domain. This error is fatal, and the domain is unresolveable.

We changed the nameserver IP's at CentOS webpanel to the corresponding IP's first but as you recommended I changed this back to the default IP's: 127.0.0.1.


What is going on here??


When I try to run www.xxxx.tld it gives me the following:
The parent nameservers do not have your nameservers listed
This means the name does not exist or your registrar is experiencing technical difficulties.

Is this right?
