Title: rDNS/PTR Failed for hostname
Post by: berkaykala on January 18, 2024, 11:18:30 AM
I have 2 ptr records

domain.com
svr1.domain.com

rDNS/PTR = svr1.Domain.comDomain.com FAILED

When I check, the two seem adjacent and I get an error even though I have a ptr record.

PTR/rDNS is handled by your upstream for your servers public IP's.

You will need to use there control panel to set them up correctly.

Also FYI rDNS/PTR doesn't work with a server behind NAT.

Problem solved by reducing 2 rdns records to 1  ;) ty
