ClamAV and AMaViS (A Mail Virus Scanner)stop working

Hi,

for some reason, applications ClamAV and  AMaViS (A Mail Virus Scanner) as work, stops and having to start manually .. After some time again stop and again I have to do manually be started ...

All this leads to the danger of losing messages ...

Please help!

usually it is caused by server with small ram, eq 512mb, but you have lot of email transaction

you need 2 gb ram and above for normal operation

I have 8 GB RAM

what did you last modified ?

I am a rookie and I have installed a new panel. The latter is what I did to create domains and mailboxes ... I made it through user panel...

try to uninstall ClamAV whith yum :

yum remove clamav -yand after
Rebuild your mail server with ClamAV (AntiSpam and AntiVirus Protection)
from yourdomain.com:2030 Email -> Postfix Mail Server Manager section.
at me it's works....

I did it, but get:

Stopping Clam AntiVirus Daemon: [  OK  ]
Starting Clam AntiVirus Daemon: ERROR: Can't open /var/log/clamav/clamd.log in append mode (check permissions!).
[FAILED]

What to do?

... and ClamAV stopped working and can not be started...

you should check the permissions of your log folder /var/log/clamav

if owner is clam then replace it with clamav or reverse if different.

in daily root messeges, in the end I have the following records:

cpulimit: no process killed
/etc/cron.daily/freshclam:

touch: cannot touch `/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log': No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access `/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log': No such file or directory
chown: cannot access `/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log': No such file or directory
ERROR: Problem with internal logger (UpdateLogFile = /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log).
ERROR: Can't open /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log in append mode (check permissions!).
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:

error: stat of /var/log/lfd.log failed: No such file or directory

My ClamAV still does not work .. What to do?!!?
