Internal email sending to other email

Have a domain that all of a sudden started mailing blank emails from mail@domain.com to info@domain.com what would be causing this? There is no mail@domain.com even setup or is this the catch all.

i ran into this by having an old wesite hosted with a basic contact form(basic = no captcha)
