New install send all email via external SMTP even for local domains

Hi.

Im setting up a CWP to host a couple of internal websites.
All email for the domains is hosted elsewhere.

i recall in Cpanel you can set it so that all email is routed via an external MX lookup even for local domains.
CWP dosnt seem to have this option

Plus to comply with opur SPF records id like to route email via our external SMTP spam filter.
i cant seem to find an option for that.

you misunderstand.
My name servers / MX records etc are already correctly established and in order.
Email for this specific domain is hosted on Office 365 and has been for some time.

I want to create an internal server to host our website with the same domain name.
if i create an account for our domain, CWP will say hey i dont need to perform any external MX lookups for this domain as i host it myself. so any email from the website to an email address on the same domain just sits in the mail cue.

Exactly the same issue with CPanel, but in CPanel you can tell it to always perform external MX lookups even if it has an account with that domain.

i was using CWP to provide simple web hosting for a couple of WP websites.
All email/DNS etc was dealt with elsewhere.

in the end i added an SMTP plug in for Worpress that allowed me to set an external SMTP relay for all wordpress email.
this circumvented the local email/smtp service.

Hi, i have same config as yours... i did this
phpmyadmin - postfix - domain
find domain you dont want to recieve email, change "active" from 1 to 0...
You can still open webmail for this domain, but even if you send email for yourseft, email will properly routed to server which mx record pointed.
