Hello,
My server crashed and won't boot using hdd. But if we attach drive to another server we can see it.
We have setup new server with CWP now. How can we recover data using this crashed hdd
-
If you attached drive to the new server then what issue you are facing?
-
I have installed cwp panel on the new server. Added old drive as a secondary drive
How do I restore accounts now?
-
are you able to see your files?
-
yes
-
Manually copy it then.
-
Will it create accounts on the server automatically?
I want to do bulk restore as there 100+ accouts
-
No it will never create. If you have made backup of accounts already then try to copy in backup folder and see if it recognizes it.
-
I have taken daily backup in the backup drive and mounted this backup drive but when i try to restore it dropdown don'e show any users.
is there any command to restore the account from the backup?
-
did you try copying the backup files in /root/backup folder. keep it unchanged. No there is no command to do that
-
did you try copying the backup files in /root/backup folder. >> yes but no luck
-
Looks like to restore backup one must have user account already created. You need to create all accounts one by one with the same username.
-
yes you are correct but this is bad
-
Well yes this is not the right way but what we can do. All depends on developers.

Allow backup of all accounts including databases same as cPanel and also restore multiple accounts from this backup same as cpanel
