Manual Settings for common
s Mail Clients Note spelling mistake
I'm trying to migrate a server.
On the old server the settings display the correct user domain for incoming/outgoing server (on a dedicated IP)
The new server incorrectly displays the main server.
Where does the GUI read the server/hostname from?

Looks like this simple question isn't going to get answered. :(
Let's see what happens when I rebuild the server from scratch - hardly inspiring from something that purports to be of a professional standard. It certainly makes me wonder why I persist in using CWP Pro.
Username: Your Email Address
Incoming Server: xxxxxxxxx <-- where does this get read from? it should be dedicated IP hostname.
IMAP Port: 993
POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: xxxxxxxxxx <-- where does this get read from? it should be dedicated IP hostname.
SMTP Port: 465

You need to add SSL cert to domain (and mail subdomain).
Then you will see mail.domain in incoming/outgoing server settings.
I've recently migrated over 30 accounts from cpanel to cwp, and with emails there were zero problems.

Thanks. So simple. Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees. ;)
Had to explicitly add mail & ftp services to the SSL.
(mail is a CNAME record)
BTW, did you have to manually add in mail forwarders, for those 30 accounts? Just curious.
@Jony Glad you found it amusing: what are you still here for? :p

No, mail forwarders were successfully carried over from Cpanel in migration
BUT
In cpanel, mail forwarders works in a way that original destination mail receives a copy, but that is not a case in CWP.
Simple solution for that is to add destination mail to forward field (along with rest email address), and then everything works as in Cpanel

both email id need to be added in forwarded i.e. main email id and forwarded email id only if you want to take a email copy in main email id.
