Title: Firewall contact email
Post by: venty on June 19, 2018, 04:23:32 PM
Hello,

I received the following message:

2018-06-01 15:16:07 Warning: CSF / LFD Firewall - SECURITY ISSUE
CSF / LFD Firewall contact email for alerts is NOT set on your server, click here to check it.

I went to settings and opened firewall managerial, where exactly should I add "contact email"?

Thanks in advance!

BR

Try this

Login to ssh. Navigate to root direct (cd /root)

Create a .forward file (nano .forward)

Enter your email in the file and save it.

Check now if emails are delivering to you now.

Most of the CSF/LFD configuration is in the file:/etc/csf/csf.conf

You can check the line number with this command
Code: [Select]
grep -n LF_ALERT_TO /etc/csf/csf.conf

Just to Clarify this, I found the Instructions pretty Vague too
I think this is what you do
Use that editor in the CSF.conf file
Find the line that says LF_ALERT_TO
Put your email between the quotes
Also set up a From address like yourserver@yourdomain.com
and LF_ALERT_FROM
