Holah
I have been trying to set up my mail on outlook without success ..
It connects okay to Port 143 but wont connect to Port 25 to send
Any ideas what the problem might be ?

Maybe your access provider is blocking outgoing connections to port 25 (some do
to prevent spamming and only allow their mailserver to be used for sending mail
through port 25)
You can check this from your computer make a telnet session to the server name
you configured for outgoing mail on port 25 . If nothing happens in your terminal
/ dos window screen then you are blocked.
I am not sure if CWP supports alternative ports (465 or 587) but you can give those ports a try.

hi nuffsaid / muhittin, i solved this adding this line in File: /etc/postfix/master.cf
submission inet n - - - - smtpd
enjoy

you will need to check if your postfix is running and by using netstats you can check on which ports.
netstat -tulpn

try tailing your maillog when you are trying to connect.
tail -f /var/log/maillog
