Title: ssl without www alias
Post by: cwp_user2018 on April 23, 2019, 03:09:35 PM
I have latest cwp. I see that domain.com certificate works fine but www.domain.com - not.
I checked on letsencrypt and it looks like CWP generate LE SSL without alias
did you change it ?

Hi,

I found a way to have it working, letsencrypt will add the www alias if you have it as an A record in the dns entries of the domain (by default the www record seems to be added as a CNAME)

In short, edit domain dns records, remove www as CNAME, add www as A, remove old certificate, create a new one and now it contains both domain.com and www.domain.com

Regards

probably the best would be that you contact cwp support via contact page to test that on your server
