Title: Nginx & Varnish & Apache
Post by: stkontra on January 10, 2020, 09:05:18 AM
Hi,
When Nginx & Varnish & Apache webserver is selected, should the .htaccess mod_rewrites work? Or only those in the nginx vhosts config files?
None of them seems to be working when I am trying to setup a rewrite for jpg -> webp images.

Hi, if you using Apache then .htaccess will work well.

Thanks Igor,
Yes I know that but the question is if use the 3 of them combined:

+1 for that Question.. @igor too, i have had the exact same difficulty with my .htaccess files when running ALL THREE services.
(apache+nginx+varnish)... it is tricky at best.. i don't recall exactly what i had to do, but it was not right.  thank you.

Cheers.

in this case .htaccess works fine. Or I did not see it does not (do not like Varnish).
So, if you use nginx+Apache .htaccess work fine. I believe it works with Varnish too
