Title: User/Admin Panel logs user out when remote IP address changes
Post by: mmxca on April 14, 2015, 04:28:38 PM
When accessing the web panel (as both a user or administrator) and your client IP address changes (for example, I use a VPN service which does this), the user is redirected to the LOGIN page.  The same behavior is experienced in HTTP and HTTPS mode.

I have to assume this is a setting somewhere, but for the life of me, I cannot find it.  Any help that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.

I am using CWP Version 0.9.8.5 on CentOS release 6.6 (Final) w/ 2.6.32-042-stab104.1

I will be happy to provide any additional information which might be necessary.

For now I dont think there is option from GUI to do that. This feature is similar to Cookie IP Validation of Cpanel.

any kind of IP change will result with session to be destroyed as this is needed by CWP security.

Well, while I understand why it is happening now, it sure would be nice to have that as an option.  Thanks for confirming that was what was causing it.  I thought I was going mad....
