DNS / how to use SRV records
« on: June 28, 2021, 06:23:38 AM »
Hi,

I have customer with a Minecraft server with a specific custom port, 25576.

The Minecraft default port is 25565 which is already unavailable and used by another customer.

The customer with a custom port wants to use his domain, which is DNS managed by our CWP, directly without putting the custom port.

Because his Minecraft players are mistakenly getting connected to the 25565.

If I am not mistaken, SRV record will resolve this, but I cannot seem to have it working.

Name: domain.com
Protocol: tcp
Weight: 5
Target: domain.com
Symbolic Name: http
Priority: 0
Port: 25576
TTL: 60

any help?

Thanks

PHP / Re: Need to increase max_execution_time in Master Value
« on: May 16, 2021, 04:14:11 PM »
Update:

I did it by RELOADING the php. Not restarting.

Also, I changed all php.ini versions just in case. So not really sure if that gave an edge

Anyone here knows how to increase the Master Value of php?

I have changed all php.ini values. But the master value remains 30 for the max_execution_time

Information / Re: WHMCS Account creating problem. CSS broken
« on: May 07, 2021, 11:05:53 PM »
Same problem here. I'm in the final WHMCS configuration step, and that happens.

Comparing the source code between an account created via API (broken CSS) and an account created by the panel (perfect CSS), I realized that the css directory created via api is "/user/cwp_theme/EN/css", a directory that does not it exists, while in the creation by the panel it is "/user/cwp_theme/ORIGINAL/css".

It probably has something to do with the default account language setting.

In the hope that someone will solve this, because I don't know how to do it for now.

I actually have a ticket already and support is very responsive.
Unfortunately, it's still not solved even when he said he has solved it.

Workaround is to go to your template setting and simply hit save.
User Accounts > Feature, Themes, Languages > Themes Tab >

I will just wait for more updates.

I think this is an .htaccess issue.

in addition to the same issue with the last update, 0.9.8.1059, Dark mode CSS is broken as well

its already solved

It's still not fixed since creating new users are still broken.

Although I find it weird that it gets fixed when you go to User Accounts > Feature, Themes, Languages > Themes Tab > Then click Save Theme default.

Perhaps the theme does not load when a user is created using API.

Updates / Re: CWP auto updates
« on: May 03, 2021, 01:50:12 AM »
Seconded.

I had 2 issues when the year started because of this auto update.

Updates are not supposed to be automated. Should be tested by the user first. Especially on production environments.

#1 priority is not have a broken server. Security comes after.

So, after so many months of testing and using my server for my own production environment, suddenly, creating users via WHMCS has some issues inside CWP.

After account creation, upon logging in the user, this is how it looks like.

It's fine when creating a user in the normal way.

After so many months of creating users via WHMCS, then it became this. Anyone knows the problem?

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: Removing Quotas
« on: April 21, 2021, 09:56:54 AM »
You must configure the quotas manually, via SSH if the disk has changed. The config depends on your filesystem
I would recommend you asking a compitent system administrator to check the issue.

Hi,

Some accounts are ok. And I believe the quota is configured correctly.

Information / Re: Disappointed with CWP 🤬
« on: April 21, 2021, 09:49:17 AM »
It's a free panel. We should be grateful.

Even if you subscribed with paid the monthly support, you are still getting the same application, CWPPro or not, with support or without. So you are experiencing the same bugs as us, but some of us are not complaining because we know how to use them. If there are things we cannot fix, we are able to move back and forth.

What I dont understand is that people here have paying customers, and they are depriving them with a better application and settling with a free panel.

There is WHM/Cpanel

You get what you pay for.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: Removing Quotas
« on: April 21, 2021, 01:10:35 AM »
Update.
Turned out I did this before
https://www.interworx.com/support/faq/enabling-quotas-centos7/

Just had to revert /etc/default/grub back to original.

Now, I still dont understand why the lower left hand portion of the interface does not update.

CentOS 7 Problems / Removing Quotas
« on: April 21, 2021, 12:33:42 AM »
Hi,

I have configured quota before for disk /dev/vda1.

Now, I have added a new partition for /home in /dev/vdb because the users are growing.

I have setup the quota as before and configured it as /home this time.

but the problem here is that the quotas in the UI did not change and it is still reading the quota from /dev/vda1

Upon checking User Quota via repquota -a, I have 2 quotas.

The old one from /dev/vda1 and the new one at /dev/vdb

*** Report for user quotas on device /dev/vda1
Block grace time: 7days; Inode grace time: 7days

User            used    soft    hard  grace    used  soft  hard  grace

Question is how do totally delete the configuration from /dev/vda1

Sandeep already has tutorial.

https://www.mysterydata.com/install-php-8-latest-version-in-cwp-control-panel/

Not official yet but he said config is 100% copy of the official.

I would suggest saving a snapshot first.
