Installation / How to install Centos Web Panel on Amazon Web Services ?
« on: January 17, 2018, 06:17:29 PM »
I am planning to shift server to Amazon Web services. Since that will be self-managed, please anyone tell tell how to install Centos Web Panel in that ?

Most tutorials I see are of Ubuntu installation in Amazon Web services. My site is based on PHP and MYSQL / phpmyadmin.

I have a VPS plan with a host provider with Centos. In that, we installed Centos Web Panel.

By default, the CSF firewall is off and Mod Security is disabled.

Is it necessary to enable the firewall or Mod Security ? Or will the firewall provided by host provider sufficient ?

We removed the crons by editing the cron file in the user home directory. Then we setup the crons via command line.

Jae,

Thanks for responding.

There is no /etc/postfix/sender_blacklist file, Do I need to create it ?

Is there no way to add blacklist in Centos web panel or via webmail ?

E-Mail / Re: How to forward / pipe email to Osticket in Centos Web Panel
« on: December 27, 2017, 07:19:39 AM »
Jae,

I configured the forwarding to other emai osticketsupport1 using Centos Web Panel.

Using the etc/aliases method for piping, error mails saying that mail was undelivered were coming (although mails were being piped). So, I used this alternate method to pipe which I found and until now, I have not seen any errors -

Thanks Jae for your response.

It works. But it does not retain original email in the mailbox. I would like only copy to be forwarded and the original be retained in the mailbox. How to do that ?

Thanks in advance

This is working. But it is not retaining the original in the mailbox.

What if we want only copy to be forwarded and the original email to be retained in the mailbox ?

How can we do that ?

Thanks in advance.

In Cpanel, we can forward email to another email and also pipe email to OsTicket software.

How can we do it in Centos Wep Panel ?

I would like the original mail be retained.
