I was unable to log in to a client user's account, I deleted the account (domain) and then updated vps and reinstated vps, then created a new account and successfully logged in, and only after I installed SSL protocol and now the client user account works a lot good

only one account (domain) didn't work had login error

Am I not installing in the correct dir? nginx 1.18.0 was in the root ..

We opened a ticket to CWP today.

We discovered a major flaw in the new backup system.

We have configured the backup with incremental copy, we suppose that it should only copy the files that change, but CWP makes a complete copy each time. This means that only one server with 50 accounts is taking up almost 2 TB of backups.

Doesn't anyone else have this problem with the new backup system?

I don't know anything about CWPanel, I already knew this for a month ... The backups exhaust the disc .. I spoke in a posts but nobody speaks anything .. My English is not very good or they made ears of a marker ..

The workaround is as follows:

groupadd -g 23 nohidproc
usermod -a -G nohidproc polkitd
mount -o remount,rw,hidepid=2,gid=nohidproc /proc
systemctl restart polkit
Add the following in /etc/fstab as well
echo "proc /proc proc defaults,hidepid=2,gid=nohidproc 0 0" >> /etc/fstab

After mount the new mountpoint

mount -a
systemctl restart polkit

I did so
I think it's wrong.
Please write the same as in Putty so I can understand better ..

I have had this problem a couple of times now. It seems to occur following a Yum Update.

The first time petrosvels solution worked for me:

# systemctl stop clamd.service
# rm -f /var/run/clamd.amavisd/clamd.sock
# systemctl start clamd.service

The problem is in the error message from the postfix log (var/log/maillog) - ERROR: LOCAL: Socket file /var/run/clamd.amavisd/clamd.sock is in use by another process. Deleting the file clamd.sock is what is required to fix the problem.

The above didn't fix the problem straight away on the most recent occasion, so what I did was:

• From the CWP Dashboard - stop ClamAV
• stop AMaViS (A Mail Virus Scanner)
• Waited until USER amavis no longer appeared in the Top 5 Processes list and the 1 minute load average dropped back to normal levels (below 0.1 in my case). This is probably not necessary, but I did it anyway to be absolutely sure amavis/clamd were not running.
• Open Filemanager and browse to the folder /var/run/clamd.amavisd. Delete the file clamd.sock. It was an empty file (0 bytes)
• From the CWP Dashboard Start AMaViS
• Start ClamAV

If that does not fix the problem, check the postfix log for other possible causes:

# tail -100 var/log/maillog | grep clamd

Hello,

I could see that a lot of users are asking "How to install SSL on hostname" and I found a few tutorials some of which are working and others do not. Also, the tutorials which are working are lenghty and not for linux newbie.

So, I will teach you here how to install and configure Letsencrypt Free SSL on hostname in CWP in simple 3 steps.

1 - Check that you should have an A record for the hostname. For example if your server hostname is cp.hostinpk.com, then you should have an A record for "cp" pointing to server IP

2 - Login to CWP Admin Panel>> Server Settings>>Change Hostname and then hit "Change Hostname" button after putting your desired hostname (in my case cp.hostinpk.com). This will only generate a valid LE SSL for your hostname when an A record is present against hostname

3 - Perform following command from shell

THAT's IT. Enjoy the green padlock while accessing the CWP services (admin panel, user panel, webmail, etc..)
