CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: Hide CWP Name From Hackers
« on: May 01, 2023, 02:05:28 PM »
Thanks for your reply overseer. I was able to add 2 custom port numbers and then save the file. But for some reason when I ssh into the server and run the command, my new port numbers aren't there. I would still like to change my login page look... As I feel that's a good approach too.

Can you tell me where to find my login page in my CWP install?

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Hide CWP Name From Hackers
« on: April 30, 2023, 04:50:21 PM »
Hello All,

Hackers are running scripts against my CWP install, making my CWP security a big problem. I pay for the CWP Pro version, and I need help to disguise my admin login. I need to edit the login page and login css to remove the CWP logos, colors and some text.

I don't need to advertise to hackers that this is a CWP install. That just gives hackers too much information to work with.

Someone please tell me where the login and login css files are located. I can't even login to my CWP right now, because of some type of DOS attack that's happening right now... Please help me.

« on: February 24, 2023, 07:28:31 PM »
I'm trying to change the look of my login page so hackers don't know it's a CWP install. Where is the html page located? It's not located here > /usr/local/apache/htdocs/index.html  that is a different page. Please help.

Postfix / Re: Mail server problems
« on: January 05, 2022, 03:43:34 PM »
All setups in my Outlook are correct. I have not made any configuration changes to any mail server settings within CWP. This behavior just started recently after a CWP update. Can someone please have the development team for CWP look at the last few code updates?

I believe something could be found in the code that would explain this...

Postfix / Mail server problems
« on: December 28, 2021, 07:09:14 PM »
 >:( Recently I've noticed when I check my email in Outlook, and I have 7 accounts setup on the mail server, it gives an error not connecting. Then when I login to CWP and reboot both Postfix Mail Server and Dovecot IMAP/POP3 Servers and try to check email again, it works fine.

Has anyone else seen this problem checking email lately? And is there a code fix for this?

Updates / Re: After updates 11.14.20 Apache failed to start
« on: November 23, 2020, 04:06:06 PM »
I've just ran the command - service httpd status (which said it was not running). The posts I've read talked about a different httpd.conf file location after a different update a few years ago. So I following the commands that fixed that person's problem.

I used the command - yum reinstall cwp-httpd (and it installed correctly). Then I tried to restart Apache and still won't start. What's this I read about two different file locations for httpd.conf? What's the fix? Do I have to move or edit a file?

Help would be greatly appreciated. All of my websites are down right now at 10:05 am central time US on 11.23.20.

Updates / Re: After updates 11.14.20 Apache failed to start
« on: November 23, 2020, 03:38:06 PM »
It just happened again! There was an updates message inside of CWP saying there were 169 updates available. I did the updates, and Apache failed to load after the updates and all of my websites are down.

Bad coding developers!!! How does this happen? Why am I paying for CWP pro, to have problems like this?

When checking Apache status it says:

Syntax error on line 359 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf  (at the end of httpd.conf) the line reads - IncludeOptional conf.d/*.conf

What is the fix here?

I did read server logs. What I finally had to do after 3 hours troubleshooting was restore a complete backup. Now my control panel says there are 174 updates, but I don't want to install them and put down Apache again. What's the answer here?

Is there a good way the perform updates? Should I stop Apache and any other services before applying updates?

Updates / After updates 11.14.20 Apache failed to start

I just did the most recent updates a few minutes ago, and after they completed successfully, Apache failed to start. I tried command line, but that attempt failed to restart Apache also. What's the answer to restart Apache? Log files says this:

Apache / Re: Starting today - slow server and slow loading websites
« on: September 09, 2020, 02:59:12 PM »
I fixed my CWP login problem. After logging into the console, i ran the command - service cwpsrv status. There was an error that said the service failed to start. So I ran - sh /scripts/restart_cwpsrv. Then the service started and I'm able to login as usual.

But I still don't know what caused the problem...  ???

Next error is, when I load a bookmarked page for webmail, the error is:

503 Service Unavailable - The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

But all of the websites are loading okay. I just can't access the CWP now. Where are error logs I can read?

Just now, I can't connect to CWP on port 2087. What should I be checking/troubleshooting to fix this?

Apache / Starting today - slow server and slow loading websites
« on: September 09, 2020, 01:19:37 PM »
I have been running Centos Web Panel now for almost 60 days. It has always been very fast loading the panel, and all of my websites have loaded quickly. Now today, the web panel and all of the websites I host are loading slowly. There has not been any updates yesterday or today and there are no errors in the web panel.

I'm running  CWP Pro version: 0.9.8.1007, PHP 7.4.5 and Apache/2.4.39, Nginx, Varnish. I have the web panel configured with a dual Xeon CPU, 4gb ram and a 4gb swap file. What could be causing this sudden slowdown?
