Updates / CWP Version 0.9.8.638
« on: July 01, 2019, 09:11:48 AM »
I have noticed in this update that the option to update CWP on the dashboard always shows a new version available , even though we are on the latest build. If you click it to update , you get the notification that it has successfully updated , even though nothing has changed.

Also on a side note , why is PHP version 7.3 not available as an install option on CWP 6?

2 months later and still no updates to CWP6 , so it seems they are willing for people to pay for CWP pro to help advance work on the project , but are unwilling to update CWP6 .

Is CWP6 a dead project ? if so just give people a reply a simple yes or no , if no then give us an update to it. If yes then we can simply move on and find another panel that updates on a regular occurrence to patch its holes and bugs

Thanks for the reply, however waiting for another OS to be bug free in order to get a release on a previous OS is not helpful , surely simple things like updating the script so updates like PHP can be added would not be too much to ask , there are security holes that need to be plugged , i am sure this could be done without waiting for another six months before we have any updates.

when you look at the cwp 7 repo they have pure-ftpd listed on that.

Thx once again.

cwp repo is enabled and i have also disabled rpmforge repo.
It seems that pureftpd is in fact coming from the rpmforge repo.

Could someone perhaps explain how to update pure-ftpd on CWP 6 please.
My current version is the default from install, FTP version: 1.0.36 , which is now an obsolete version.

Do you have an ETA for this ??

CWP7 is now at cwp-el7-0.9.8.426. , so you are constantly updating the newer version fixing bugs , but no attempt is made for CWP6.

CWP7 updated once again , now on version cwp-el7-0.9.8.422.zip , and still nothing for CWP6 .

How can you only update one version and leave the other to die, when most of the people started on CWP 6 as Centos 7 was not available at the time.

CWP7 now on cwp-el7-0.9.8.418 but still no updates to CWP6 ????

Is CWP6 a lost cause now , it would be helpful if Admin would respond so we know weather or not to move on to something else !!

I too am a Pro user , but i see no benefit to this at all .

How come only updates are being sent out to users with CWP 7 ? They are now on cwp-el7-0.9.8.412 whereas CWP 6 users are still on cwp2-0.9.8.273.

There has been significant changes recently that would require an update to CWP 6 , not to mention 2 recent updates to PHP 5.6 , latest version is 5.6.33 and on CWP panel we are still stuck at 5.6.31 , not to mention the PHP v7 modules.

Users cannot be expected just to jump to Centos 7 just to accommodate these updates .
