Updates / CWP Version
« on: July 01, 2019, 09:11:48 AM »
I have noticed in this update that the option to update CWP on the dashboard always shows a new version available , even though we are on the latest build. If you click it to update , you get the notification that it has successfully updated , even though nothing has changed.

Also on a side note , why is PHP version 7.3 not available as an install option on CWP 6?

Could someone perhaps explain how to update pure-ftpd on CWP 6 please.
My current version is the default from install, FTP version: 1.0.36 , which is now an obsolete version.

Updates / Updates to CWP6
« on: January 13, 2018, 10:42:31 AM »
How come only updates are being sent out to users with CWP 7 ? They are now on cwp-el7- whereas CWP 6 users are still on cwp2-

There has been significant changes recently that would require an update to CWP 6 , not to mention 2 recent updates to PHP 5.6 , latest version is 5.6.33 and on CWP panel we are still stuck at 5.6.31 , not to mention the PHP v7 modules.

Users cannot be expected just to jump to Centos 7 just to accommodate these updates .

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Bugs in CWPpro version:
« on: March 27, 2017, 04:21:22 PM »
So far  since the upgrade from 153 i have encountered a few issues , i have not gone through everything so there may be more that i have not found yet.

System is as Follows :

CWPpro version:
Apache version: Apache/2.4.25
PHP version: 5.6.30
MySQL version: 10.1.22-MariaDB

Issues are as follows :

1. Mod Security

When installing mod security with either Comodo or WASP rules, Apache fails to start and gives the following error

Code: [Select]
Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 507 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 5 of /usr/local/apache/conf.d/mod_security.conf: Cannot load modules/ into server: /usr/local/apache/modules/ undefined symbol: apr_crypto_block_cleanup

Mod security has to be un-installed in order for Apache to be able to be re-started.

2. PhpMyAdmin

The following error persists

Code: [Select]
The configuration file now needs a secret passphrase (blowfish_secret).
The passphrase is there in the current location has this location been changed ??

3 Scripts

You mention in a post to use the following script

Code: [Select]
This script is not present in my scripts folder ... and yes i have done the yum update_cwrsrv command

4. Roundcube

On the client side of CWP when clicking on the Roundcube item which represents it opens up the window with the following error

Code: [Select]
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

However in the navigation window on the left it points to which takes you to roundcube webmail.

5. MySQL

On both Admin and client side windows when clicking on Show MySQL Processes in the navigation tab , it starts to load the window by showing the loading option but then remains blank as if there are no processes running.

Any insight to these issues ?
As i find more i will post here

Ran the upgrade scripts for CWP upgrade including the apache upgrade , the web panel itself took the upgrade ok but it did not want to start the Apache webserver , after rebuilding apache from within the web panel itself some errors cleared but now i am stuck on these errors

Code: [Select]
Stopping httpd: [FAILED]
Starting httpd: AH00526: Syntax error on line 2 of /usr/local/apache/conf.d/ssl.conf:
Invalid command 'SSLCipherSuite', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Any ideas ?

« on: March 02, 2017, 01:29:06 PM »
Your Facebook states that this release is available for Centos 6 versions of the webpanel and that we manually need to upgrade but when running the update_cwp script it tells me that i am on the current version and no update is needed

Update Server Packages
Your CWP version:

No update needed, your CWP is up to date.

Any idea on what is going on or has this update been removed for some reason ?
