If you want own branded name server. Login to your domain panel and ther eyou will find option like "register name server"  or "child name server" or somrthing similar to this. There it will ask you to create name server by defining a value with ip. Enter the same here in centos web panel and it will be done.
So, let me get this straight, it should go like this:
  • Go to domain name control panel with registrar
  • Add new child name namservers with following info:
  • ns1.(mydomain).(TLD) --> (My vps ip address)
  • ns2.(mydomain).(TLD) --> (My vps ip address)
  • Now, point my domain to the new child nameservers
  • Go back to my CWP, into name servers and add the new childnameservers and VPS ip address
  • Point client domains to new child nameservers
  • Done! It should all work

Am I correct?

Installation / Help with nameservers

Hi Everyone,

I've just installed this fab web panel on my VPS but I having a bit of a problem with the Nameservers/DNS side of things... (I'm a newbie at this)
My VPS only have ONE IPv4 address. The current DNS settings are:
  • ns1.centos-webpanel.com resolves to 185.4.149.83
  • ns2.centos-webpanel.com resolves to 185.4.149.90
Where shall I point my domain to? I really want my own nameservers if possible?

Thanks
