installation doesn't require any custom ports, it needs only default 80 and 443 to get all packages installed.
this can be related with some other download, try to check with "ps auxf" command what the installer is doing when the installed doesn't end.

cwp has a new version, don't ever use any other as the one in cwp has security included and others don't so you can have a big security issue by using some other versions.

are you sure it is activated and working ? If all is good then try to contact cwp support to check your case...many different virtualization types can have different issues.

group can be 99 for root folder of domain but all others will be owned by uid in your case 1000.
