CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: Can Not Log in Client Side

Good thing I only had one customer with the issue. I had to modify the database and some files and directories with a shorter name and that allowed me to move forward.

Did anyone solve this, I'm having the same issue

The issue was because a username for the Doman was beyond 8 characters, I had to go into the cwp database and manually change the username universally and rename the user folder in /home/ to match. And create a group in centos to match  the user and check permissions. Then every seemed to work. I know it's dirty and only one issue remains, when I log into the user CP the email section is missing the users but the old users are still functioning

I have a domain that's just being used for emails and the user cannot log into the control panel to do anything.. how do I backup up their emails and redo the users' profile? Ive noticed that the CWP panel doesnt backup emails, or I could be wrong..

Help? :)

It is better to cut the user names to less than 8 characters, so you do not have problems.
but you will have problems later

Exactly, but this wasn't a requirement back when the user was created over a year ago.. the system currently limits the new account creation to 8 chars, but the old accounts that are over 8 are locked up when it comes to trying to get in to the client panel. I can change the username if there was a way to do so.. that's what I need help on

5
The problem is, ive been using cwp for long while now and usernames weren't limited back then. Now with the updates, these existing users are hosed because of the new limitation

I am still having this issue

7
users with over 8 char usernames can't log in to client panel.

how would I change the usernames to work? I can't log into the client panel to make a backup and restore, if I were to go this route..

Im stuck after all these updates screwed up my server.

Please help

now when I try I get this: (password and user changed to protect the user)

about:blank?username=USER&password=PASSWORD

9
my ver. CWPpro version: 0.9.8.749

I ran it earlier today and it didn't update anything

[root@server scripts]# sh /scripts/update_cwp

Some users can log in fine.. and I can't seem to find the cause.

as I try to log in I get "incorrect access" error in red.

This log states this error, but says that even for a user that does work.

Next thought is that the User is over 8 characters long, and there was a change in CWP awhile back that made these users not work. Is there a way to change this behavior?

But the user CAN log in via SSH just fine.

But I lost a few features and had to recompile apache and ngnix and it fails all my SSL certs now.. still cant use Varnish or ngnix. but SSL works with vanilla apache.
