« on: October 03, 2019, 04:20:26 PM »
you may have to run update, try:

sh /scripts/update_cwp

or CD into the Directory and just type ./update_cwp

should work.

Updates / Re: Please do not update my cwp without my consent
« on: September 28, 2019, 03:29:17 PM »
i run this little script, it 'disables' auto updates, (via simply renaming the cron.php) ~ unfortunately you cant EDIT files much in CWP (bc of IONCUBE).
but i run this, and wait for updates to post, (it shows in the Panel that ones available still),  and just run it (soon) after i verify its a good update.. via the forums..  i would caution, as mentioned before, auto update CWP is *very important*, as if you 'skip' them for a long time, it does *not* progress through versions.. ie; it will take you from whichever version you are on to the current version.. SKIPPING altogether some things that could break if you haven't kept up.. unlike Kernels, it doesnt 'STEP' you to the latest.. thus, why i still run updates, just not when CWP chooses. i can wait (usually up to 3 days).  I also made a 'backup' of the original "cron.php" (cron.php_bu) just for sanity.  the script just copies/moves it over to cron.php_ then back again, then runs the update..

just a word.  here it is that i made.

feel free to change it.  but it works well.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
mv /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/include/cron.php_ /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/include/cron.php &&
echo "CWP AutoUpdate is now ON."
sleep 3
echo "Performing CWP Auto Update now."
sh /scripts/update_cwp &&
echo "Done. with CWP update."
sleep 2
echo "Turning Auto Update back OFF."
mv /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/include/cron.php /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/include/cron.php_ &&
echo "CWP Auto Update is now OFF again."
sleep 3
echo "Finished."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope this solves/helps some..
Again though, i cant stress enough, you *must* keep up on the updates.. at least within a couple/few days..
otherwise, yes, turning them OFF, waiting like a month or few.. Would most likely "break" your server...
so, just run it after checking here would be my advice.

It would be nice/great to have a complete! and UpToDate "CHANGELOG" POSTED/POPUP BEFORE updating though..
hopefully, sometime soon.
Cheers.

My guess is CWP 'staff' have their hands pretty full with the current state / updates,
i also agree though +1  a seperate data collection of user_suggestions *might help them, and us, in the future..

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: Constantly logged out
« on: September 27, 2019, 01:02:40 PM »
I've experienced that before, it is/was for me, Browser cache related..

I tend to use firefox (developers edition) in incognito mode entirely just for CWP now..

hope that helps.

Apache / Re: Fresh install apache error
« on: September 23, 2019, 08:38:28 PM »
it says,

Syntax Error on this two lines of those two files:

line 512 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf
and
line 2 of /usr/local/apache/conf.d/rpaf.conf:

in those two files, on those two lines, your setup is looking for something  (on those lines #512, and #2 respectively) that is not available/"could not be found"..

fix that, and it should work.
Possibly, all you may need to do is #, "comment out" those lines, or Add the area it cannot find.

Hope that helps.
Cheers

SSL / Re: DNS for your domain dosen't point to this server
« on: September 23, 2019, 08:32:25 PM »
+1 for this, i think its a bug.
i also had this same issue after latest update.
I went through and downgraded to only run Apache..
then.. back up to Apache->Nginx..
then Apache->Nginx->Varnish..

etc..

it took quite a bit..
I also think i had to, or chose to rebuild all vhosts..
reset/saved the DNS/Hostname..

yeah.. i dont know unfortunatley exactly which area worked..
but *eventually*, it returned..

oh, yeah, i removed all my SSL's and then did this stuff mentioned above (rebuilding etc),
and then reenstated the SSL (again)..

yup.  its a pain.. too much almost..

+2 (again) @we should have the choice to when we want our updates.!!
the last several have broken *something*, its been ugggggggh!

Looking at alternatives already for servering, (VestaCP), etc.
sad really.
I think theyre going to fast, and trying to build too much.

Installation / Re: Changelog
« on: September 12, 2019, 02:50:45 AM »
+1 on keeping up-to-date Changelog!

I have suggested in another part of this forum, also that the Icon/Button on the Admin_Panel show easy access to teh NEW
Changes/Log.. thus, allowing US (the end users) to decide when we want to update..

I hope ethey hear that @admins..
Cheers,

Information / Re: Hot link protection ??
« on: September 03, 2019, 11:18:06 AM »
all in all, in Igor behalf, maybe not so much in teh forums has there been his support anymore..
He (and Sandeep) have been TOP NOTCH when you do Contact them/get them, with a support ticket.

There may be otehr reasons why teh "admins" dont/have time to react in the forums, as it is.. i'd personally
rather have them working ON cwp than ansering "Forum Questions" like useless ones asking how to "hot link protect"..

really?  there is a search engine called.. umm, "Google">  smh.

https://www.htaccessredirect.net/

pretty easy to search for..

a 'useless' question, when all you needed to do was "google" it..

Cheers.

Information / Re: Change log CWP7 Pro
« on: September 03, 2019, 11:07:32 AM »
+1 on updated Changelog..

personally, i would like to see it "pop up" on the Panel right when you press "CWP Update".. it *should* imo, then show the latest update changelog.. just before "confirming" that you want to Update..

That, imo, would be what should be done.

Thanks.
X

Yes, CWP has come a very, very, verrrry long way, ..  itis getting better, and stronger, more secure, etc..
its growing thats for sure.. some of it imo, is a little "overboard", for many use, but i'd rather have an option
and not need it then need it and not have it. :)

kudos @cwp..

Some beter support.. perhaps could be helpful, not that its terrible, but there are some support 'issues'.. imo.
Igor, and Sandeep rock.. so do a few others, but even on this Forum it would be nicer to have some more 'support'.

for even the small things.

Cheers.
