And if you have to make major changes to the code, just to turn around and have to do it over in a  couple years might not make sense.
It's for sure wouldnt need major changes. EL 8 and 9 doesn't different a much, but few catalogs could be in other places, but almost all used packets are the same... Most if not all will be at the same places.
And Centos Web Panel used many scripts and others software packages or source, and it build own php, so its require a little of test, moreover there is so much el systems now: Almalinux, rocky Linux, RedHat Enterprise, Centos Stream, OracleLinux etc.
So it require a little more tests, and eventaully write differences (up now i guest when i look install script there was none for wchichover but could happen) per system or looking step by step why smth not work and how repair that.

Apache / Re: CWP can't compile php-fpm 8.2
« on: November 08, 2023, 04:45:15 PM »
Thank you.
It is not exactly repair all what happen just running cwp which autopdate and addding accounts and sites, and update time to time from cwp panel - nothing more, but I found cause of problems: much of packets are outdated:
eg. MariaDB was 10.4 and it couldnt work with php8.2 (at 8.1 work).
PQSQL is 14 etc...
You can also edit this file from CWP panel too
Panel stopped work i got 404 Error - not found, nothing from old threads help, so  for me best will be wait for CWP EL 9 and install it from 0, or mayby after i update all what is need magically it start work...
User panels work normally.
I don't have problem check actual pqsql version and folders, but command not work.

Another problem is some configs eg.
Code: [Select]
baseurl =
But there not was centos8 only RHEL8
I don't have Centos8, Its Almalinux8

Information / Re: CWP panel + Nginx
« on: November 06, 2023, 02:51:22 PM »
you need configure proxy for your domains (but i recomend for that nginx its much faster in that role).

SSL you need to create/add in cwp -its enought, webservers dont't need have SSL (can have but it doesn't matter).

SSL / Re: only self signed certificates issued
« on: October 30, 2023, 02:09:56 PM »
I noticed, that my Almalinux 8 doesn't themselves generate certificate after old one expired.
Execute command:
sh /scripts/generate_hostname_ssl

will generate new certificate. After that you need
sh /scripts/restart_cwpsrv
sh /scripts/restart_httpd

We are very soon to release the first stable version of cwp9, possibly in the next few days we will look for some enthusiasts to control some close tests, surely all this will be announced in due course by this means!

Nice. I dont know how but my serwer show that have el7 cwp 7.2 on Almalinux 8. After login to admin I get error 404//not found i tried all steps which i could find - nothing helped. So I would like test new CWP on Almalinux 9, when all my sites stil works on old instalation, and I will try migrate them to new instalation.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: IP Manager
« on: October 17, 2023, 01:44:51 PM »
i done that long time before CWP add IP Manager.
iI think that its need add possiblity to assign that ip per network interface. If you have few, how it will work ? I guest that not like expected/needed.

Apache / Re: Subdomain redirect not working
« on: October 17, 2023, 01:39:59 PM »
I found how resolve that.
Go CWP Settings -> Edit settings -> and check rebuilds vhosts - magical it work...
(even for domains that use another ip - it doesnt delete config and keep configuration)

When you rebuild only 1 user /domain it wasnt help - i tried that earlier, and I nothing changed so didnt except to need smth like that to resolve problem.

in compiling:
"shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory
shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory
chdir: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory"
what folder ? why it not create it then ? i compile new php version. - it has no folders so why it except that it exist instead create it ?

configure: error: Cannot find libpq-fe.h. Please specify correct PostgreSQL installation path

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

Apache / Re: Subdomain redirect not working
« on: October 17, 2023, 09:41:13 AM »
I have the same problem a records are ok (point for serwer work)... I got lets encrypt certificate, but subdomain site doesntt work, i get

"Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

whatever if i add it by subdomain or by domain writing that subdomain as domain.
I checked inside /public_html and outside - still the same problem.

If i add another domain similar way it work as should. Reuild vhosts or change webserwer to simplest apache or nginx doesnt work.
Its deafault config cwp pro for user/domain - it not work... (i have force php-fpm).

If it help - Almalinux 8.8 and newest cwp pro.
Server isnt overloaded in any way - have a lot of free ram, cpu and disk space.

PHP Selector / Re: PHP-FPM Not Working (503 Service Unavailable)

Security limits - you can have limit 0 proces, or  if you use multiple servers you can have missconfigured users for nginx, varnish, apache and ports. They not listen each other at default and  ports for nginx and apache are the same, and another problem is that default socket is not configuret per user - you get only 1 for nobody - if you want normal then you need maually add it.
But that is not all - it  not resolve problem with php when choose php-fpm - it still not work. It let you run only html. I have the same problem:
But i not find reason. I supposed that php-fpm not listen vhost and try another location - but why idk, and where change it also I don't discover.

Apache / Re: .htaccess: Option FollowSymlinks not allowed here

I think, that default is enabled or at least you can add:
when the owner is the same it will work.

Apache / Re: Apache Status
