CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / 1st attack against CWP outdated PHP
« on: January 06, 2023, 07:40:01 PM »
One of the servers received a brute force attack against the CWP login pages that use the outdated PHP version.

When does CWP plan on updating there base PHP code to 8.1?

Also the DNS Manager still uses PHP 5.6 which really needs updating.

Maybe it's time for CWP to go open source, and let the community help keep it updated.

OK, I'm actually stuck.

Does anyone know how to change/set the user directory for the Anonymous login?

Tried to change the home directory on the FTP user account, but nothing.

Thanks

Information / Alma Linux 9 Support ETA?
« on: November 04, 2022, 05:15:38 AM »
Alma Linux 8.x has been out since the beginning of 2021, and it's active support ends in just over a year.

Alma Linux 9 has been out for 5 months, and was wondering when CWP will start supporting it.

DNS Manager / Update to support PHP 7.4 or 8.0.x
« on: August 23, 2021, 04:53:41 PM »
Is there an update to DNS Manage that cane run on PHP 7.4 or 8.0 yet?

I know the current version will only run under PHP 5.6.x, which is a large security problem.

Thanks

Information / They now have 2 viable CentOS 8.4 replacements
« on: June 21, 2021, 08:28:51 PM »
They now have

AlmaLinux 8.4 - Made by CloudLinux that CWP already supports the paid version of CloudLinux.
They also have experience rebuilding their version from RHEL.

and

Rocky Linux 8.4 (Just Released) - Made by the founder of CentOS

I've tested CWP on both.
Both also offer conversion for another CentOS 8.x based version to theirs.

Anyone else running either of these?

Installation / Reversing el8_stream_convert_to_cwp_stable
« on: June 16, 2021, 12:48:52 AM »
Would like to reverse el8_stream_convert_to_cwp_stable, so then I could reverse back to regular CentOS.

@Sandeep or @Igor

The only other way I see is to do the repos manually, which would be a pain in the butt.

Information / FYI - CWP 0.9.8.1061 & Rocky Linux
« on: May 13, 2021, 04:42:18 PM »
Just a quick FYI. Not sure if anyone cares or not.

We (Starburst, NOT CWP) installed CWP 0.9.8.1061 on Rocky Linux RC1 yesterday on a test box.

Everything went well and worked. Well, Apache Rebuild still isn't working. (But that's on CentOS also :/)

We also where able to update the Kernel, MariaDB and Dovecot from their respective CentOS 8 repos.

Rocky Linux is also working on an upgrade like RedHat did from CentOS to CentOS Stream.
So you can switch from CentOS 8/CentOS Stream to Rocky Linux.
Which also hopefully means in the future the version will be upgradable, since this is how Debian does their upgrades,
