Installation / Reversing el8_stream_convert_to_cwp_stable
« on: June 16, 2021, 12:48:52 AM »
Would like to reverse el8_stream_convert_to_cwp_stable, so then I could reverse back to regular CentOS.

@Sandeep or @Igor

The only other way I see is to do the repos manually, which would be a pain in the butt.

Information / FYI - CWP 0.9.8.1061 & Rocky Linux
« on: May 13, 2021, 04:42:18 PM »
Just a quick FYI. Not sure if anyone cares or not.

We (Starburst, NOT CWP) installed CWP 0.9.8.1061 on Rocky Linux RC1 yesterday on a test box.

Everything went well and worked. Well, Apache Rebuild still isn't working. (But that's on CentOS also :/)

We also where able to update the Kernel, MariaDB and Dovecot from their respective CentOS 8 repos.

Rocky Linux is also working on an upgrade like RedHat did from CentOS to CentOS Stream.
So you can switch from CentOS 8/CentOS Stream to Rocky Linux.
Which also hopefully means in the future the version will be upgradable, since this is how Debian does their upgrades,

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Problem after update - Again
« on: April 04, 2021, 05:12:48 AM »
Just ran dnf update tonight, and another problem popped up.

The system only update OpenSSL from 1.1.1g-12 to 1.1.1g-15 and the mail system broke, Again.

System also can't generate any new SSL certificates via the control panel.

Which wouldn't be a problem, Except in troubleshooting and SSL certificate wads deleted as it was tried to be recreated, but can't.

This wasn't even a minor update, just a bugfix.

Looks like the robots that find open forums found CWP, and are spamming away...

Dovecot / Mail server error after update to Dovecot 2.3.14-5
« on: March 07, 2021, 03:15:18 AM »
Ran the updates tonight from Dovecot 2.3.14-4 to 2.3.14-5 and the mail server stopped responding.
Tried rebuilding the mail server, and still no joy.

Update is directly from the Dovecot repo at http://repo.dovecot.org/ce-2.3-latest/centos/$releasever/RPMS/$basearch

Anyone else run into this problem?

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Apache Re-Build broken. Again.
« on: February 09, 2021, 03:33:58 AM »
Worked fine on 0.9.8.1040, broken again with 0.9.8.1041

Another brand new install, and Apache won't Rebuild under CWP 0.9.8.1041

Mod_Security / mod_security crashing Apache on new install
« on: February 07, 2021, 03:56:45 AM »
For some reason the mod-security screen is messed up and not showing the options.
And when you click on the icon to install, it crashes Apache.

Only way to get Apache working again, is to uninstall mod_security.

Again, this is on a brand new VPS running CentOS 8 and CWP 0.9.8.1039 that was just brought up yesterday (05FEB21)

« on: January 25, 2021, 01:23:28 AM »
OK, another weird problem.

The server isn't receiving emails from Gmail.
Can send to them, no problem.

Anyone else seen this?

CentOS Configuration / Java Script not working
« on: January 24, 2021, 10:59:42 PM »
So new server, and javascrpit isn't working for some reason.

Reset permissions using the Fix Permissions.

I know this is something simple and stupid I'm overlooking, but need some help what I'm missing.

Thanks

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Default IP won't change
« on: January 15, 2021, 06:30:58 PM »
CWPpro version: 0.9.8.1032

The box has 2 IP's.
eth0 & eth0:1

In CWP Settings -> Edit Settings

I selected the 2nd IP as the "Shared IP" and saved.

But below it keeps showing "default: x.x.x.x" instead of whats IP is the box above of z.z.z.z

So when a site is auto created, it's using the default.

Where is the configuration file, so I can manually edit this to the correct IP?

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / 503 Bad Gateway - cwpsrv
« on: December 31, 2020, 12:39:48 AM »
After CWP runs an update and you try to login, it gives a "503 Bad Gateway - cwpsrv"

Logged into ssh, and restarted cwpsrv, but no joy.

Have to restart the server every time after a recent update to get CWP accessible again.

Just started with the 0.9.8.1028 update, also just happened now with the 0.9.8.1030 update.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / IPv6 keeps dissapearing
« on: December 12, 2020, 09:44:21 PM »
It happened today again... When I checked the website with a browser, it went to the default page.

Looked at the vhost conf files, and the IPv6 that was manually entered was GONE, AGAIN.   >:(
