CentOS 7 Problems / Re: 400 Bad Request
« on: December 20, 2023, 09:53:02 PM »
Is this a home network using NAT or public network?
What distro are you trying to install CWP onto

Yes, how do I fix this problem?

Can't answer a problem, without knowing what's going on and how you have Your network setup.

At this point, I would recommend you hire an onsite sys admin that can help you do whatever you are trying to do.

Because if you don't know the difference between NAT & Public, and it's Your setup, you are in way over your head.

At https://control-webpanel.com/support-services
It clearly states just, SERVER SECURITY CONFIGURATION, SERVER PERFORMANCE CONFIGURATION, THIRD PARTY APPS INSTALLATION, REAL-TIME SERVER MONITORING.

And under Monthly Guarantee for $12.99/Month:
We understand that continuous monitoring and updates can be a pain to take care of, especially when you have multiple servers and many things that need to be handled. That’s is why Managed support is the best option for you.

Your not going to get a Managed Server service for US$12.99/month. And says 'Monitoring & updates'.

Even at around $150/month you usually only get 2-3 hours of included support per month.

From your initial post, sounds like your inhouse admin is use to Webmin & DirectAdmin, and manually editing configuration files.

Unfortunately, that sounds like it might be the best course for you to stay with.
Multiple different OS's and control panels can cause eye's to start getting crossed.

How to solve this problem please step by step

rDNS/PTR = FAILED, check with your hosting provider! FAILED

As @rcschaff mentioned, More information is needed.

Is this a home network using NAT or public network?
What distro are you trying to install CWP onto?
VPS or Dedicated?

Not trying to be mean, we all started somewhere.
It also sounds like you might be in over your head, and actually need more of a hosting account or Managed server.

With CWP you don't need to upload the WordPress script.

It's built into the panel, and also can be installed via Softaculous for end users.

@delloweb

Send me a PM with your server's base IP.
I can add it to our reseller portal, and see if we can get it working for you.

Check the permissions.

MariaDB 10.2.x isn't supported any longer.

The lowest LTS is 10.4.x

For further support you should upgrade to this version, or higher.

DNS / Re: rDNS is required to match the hostname of CWP
« on: December 12, 2023, 11:48:11 PM »
If the mail server is setup correctly, then it will verify the FQDN, rDNS, along with the SPF & DKIM.

Depending on the receiving mail server, it could be sent to null or spam if any or all of the above fail.

rDNS in CWP checks for either rDNS or a PTR record.

Companies like Google, M$ will have both of those setup for each of their servers, since they have plenty of IP space available to them.

A good site to check your server config is at: https://www.mail-tester.com/

SSL / Re: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.
« on: December 12, 2023, 11:39:09 PM »
Allot of providers have PHP Mail disabled for security.
(block the users to be able to send spam emails or infected emails from php mail function.)

If you have root access, then you can enable it.

You might have to contact your upstream also to make sure all the SMTP ports are open.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: CWP nameserver not resolve
« on: December 12, 2023, 06:56:52 PM »
I was looking up the domain name in you original post (worldthenews.com).

Glad all if working, but DNS does need UDP & TCP port 53 open.

When you get into the Self hosted and NAT areas, things get real tricky.
Most of these features where never designed for that, one of the things needed is rDNS.

Your CSF config looks like Default, which is good.

Tried to open Port 53/UDP on the other firewall.

http://leafdns.com/ and https://dnschecker.org/all-dns-records-of-domain.php are good tools.

Most of your domain comes back to hostinger.in & dns-parking.com

The main WHOIS is showing GoDaddy just has the domain name 'parked'.
So I'm thinking your ns are not created or glued anywhere.
As when they are, you need to have 2 A records created also with ns1.worldthenews.com & ns2.worldthenews.com, which currently also do not exist.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: CWP nameserver not resolve

First you have to have the DNS registered (aka glue records created), this is pretty simple with Namecheap & GoDaddy.

Here is an article how to do it at GoDaddy: https://my.starburstservices.com/index.php?fuse=knowledgebase&controller=articles&view=article&articleId=16

Thought I had one for Namecheap, guess I have to add that to my to do list now.

But registrar's like Cloudflare don't offer it, unless you pay for one of their higher level of service.
And I'm not sure how other registrar's may or may not handle it.

Once they are registered, and point to the corresponding IP's.
It's just a matter of creating the A records, and the PTR record at your bandwidth upstream.

Installation / Re: Centos 7 still the recommended version?
« on: December 11, 2023, 05:45:02 PM »
There is no CentOS 8, 9 , etc. They got rid of version number with CentOS when RH killed CentOS 8 early.
It's just CentOS Stream, which is a rolling beta version for RHEL.

The main problem with Stream, is once you are on it, there is no way off that beta version, other than to rebuild the server with a different OS.

With CentOS 7, AlmaLinux or Rocky 8.x, there is an upgrade path to 9.x down the road as soon as CWP releases a version fully compatible with it.

Installation / Re: ubuntu with arm64
« on: December 01, 2023, 10:46:11 AM »
I would not recommend CentOS Stream 8, as it is EOL soon. Look toward AlmaLinux 8.8, as you can then ELevate to v9 when CWP fully support EL9 distributions (hopefully soon, per the devs).
can use CentOS 7 MINIMAL?

CentOS 7 is EOL.

AlmaLinux 8.x with CWP 8 is what new servers should be using.
