CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: Main PHP Selector isn't work in 0.9.8.1177
« on: March 24, 2024, 12:56:05 AM »
How they fixed it without update to a new version ?

I'm guessing CWP contacts the home planet in the background to build PHP versions.

But it works, updated all the servers last night to 8.2.17.

1 thing I did notice, is it wiped out the disable_function=, so you have to rebuild that.

???
apt is a Debian command, shouldn't work in AlmaLinux. It uses Yum & DNF.

You want to use the AlmaLinux DVD, as the Boot doesn't install all necessary components.

You're not installing MariaDB before CWP, right?

All you should have to do is the basic AlmaLinux 8 image, nothing else, set the hostname & timezone.

Is this a public IP (VPS or Dedicated server) or behind a NAT?

If it's public, and you want, PM me, and I can try to get it installed after you do a reimage of the basic AL 8.

First, I aplogize @gabrielwz and @Dutch_Mike

OK, there is a MAJOR BUG in 0.9.8.1177
Just posted it under bugs, and reported it to CWP.

I just tried to start updating PHP to 8.2.17, running AlmaLinux 8.9, "Failed to Download PHP version 8.2.17!"

As you can see ziptool is installed. :/
And no other updates are available.

Started today updating (or trying to without success) the PHP to 8.2.17.

Neither of the first 2 servers would update to PHP 8.2.17, so I tried 8.2.16.
To my surprise, I got the EXACT SAME Error...

So ya, there's a major bug in 0.9.8.1177...

If you know RH commands, then they are all the same.
RHEL, AlmaLinux/CloudLInux, RockyLinux, etc.

The only real major one is yum is now dnf. But yum still works in 8.

AlmaLinux runs the best out of all the distros. We have it running on all of the productions and mirror servers.

Install a NON-beta operating system like AlmaLinux 8 like @overseer recommended and you won't have a problem.

CentOS 8 is dead, and has been dead. CentOS Stream is a beta operating system for RHEL.
Fedora is the alpha.

Fedora (alpha) -> Stream (beta) -> RHEL

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: CWP IP took too long to respond

Vultr probably has something blocked due to attacks.

If you have CSF disabled, then it's not CWP.

You will need to contact your ISP to find out why their network is blocked.
Or open a ticket Vultr and give them your local IP, and see what they say.

Weird.
I'm getting an SSL error, but can say continue and access the login screen from the US.

Also I just saw you are using Cloudflare. (Which is good when configured correctly)

Check your SSL settings there as well.
As that's probably where the problem is at.

For some reason it's not reaching Let's Encrypt to generate a SSL, it's only generating an internal SSL from CWP.

On the SSL error screen you can say to continue to the login screen.

Temporarily turn off the firewall, and try to generate it again.

Is this a new server install?

Try:

Code: [Select]
cd /scripts

./generate_hostname_ssl

./hostname_ssl_restart_services
