Installation / Backup cpanel to CWP?
« on: February 09, 2022, 02:29:31 PM »
Hello.
I transfer some sites from cpanel to CWP trough cPanel-->CWP Migration, in this case, CWP contact direct with server with cpanel.

But now, I have a old backup of a old site and I want re open this site, I have a backup of this old account of cpanel, but not have this format: cpmove-{USER}.tar.gz

The format are:
backup-3.9.2018_16-47-07_xxx.tar.gz

This format is valid for option cpanel account restore?

Thanks and regards.

If you apply the template to any domain in "Webservers Conf Domain", the future changes in templates will not affect your customization.
Yes, at this moment I have it like this, so I have had to do so as not to lose my custom configurations (such as ipv6) but I fully agree with what colleagues have commented in previous posts.

Regards!

You may have had your sites up and running for months with a custom setup, because in no time did you have to rebuild your sites. When you do that, it changes *all* the site settings in apache, and if you made any changes there, you lose them all.

To avoid this, you should configure additional files in the 'conf.d' directories, either from apache or nginx. So when these changes take place, they won't affect the settings in apache/nginx.

If this is not possible, you should make changes to the apache or nginx templates, and apply the template to the respective site. To change the template, as it will also be overwritten by future changes, you must create new template files in their respective directories, and apply the template to the site configuration under "Webservers Domain Config".

It is correct, during all the time that I have been using CWP I have not had to rebuild the webservers, and yes, I am aware that, when I rebuild, the custom changes disappear, of that I am aware and aware, and as I mentioned, no I had to rebuild once I left everything well configured many months ago.

But .... for 2 or 3 days, rebuild is done automatically when anacron executes the update script, something that did not happen before, and it happens from the problem with the suspended pages ...

Indeed, creating a template, as indicated in the link that I put in my previous post (copy one with another name and customize it as desired) and then rebuild by selecting that new template, will solve the issue that now, all the nights, the automatic rebuild, which there was not before, did not affect my changes.

But what "worries" me is that one day a new change to the templates (in my case apache) will enter and since I am using a custom one, I may not be aware of this possible new change.

Be that as it may, I understand the people who comment on it, this did not happen before, for months, years and so on, now, every day the daily automatic script rebuilds and we lose all the changes made.

Greetings and happy new year.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: BUG**ssl renew now renews ALL
« on: December 31, 2021, 09:58:32 AM »
I have the same problem, one month ago, expire my auto SSL, automatic, has renew my SSL domain, but not admin services (like mail...).
My solution, delete the SSL of the domain and recreate again with select the SAN thats I need.

Yes, it works too.

Another way is to just add the missing DNS records for that domains.

The missing domains you can check too with the following command, since the last restart of your Apache server (if using Apache server):
Code: [Select]
# grep AH01909 /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log

I think that when it happened to me, if I had the DNS's configured, anyway, I check and I am going to wait for them to have to be renewed automatically, to see what happens.
Thanks and regards.

This is something that had never happened until 2 days ago.
First, a CWP update caused a failure in the vhosts (apache, nginx ...) and then, although CPW did not update, at night it always passes the script to check for updates and / or perform the necessary actions.
From then on, my vhost files are restored by default.

As I comment, this had never happened until 2 days ago.

I had modified the vhosts (I use apache) to add my ipv6 as indicated in this thread:
http://forum.centos-webpanel.com/index.php?topic=9935.0

Now it doesn't work, if I run the cwp update script it restores my vhost to default.

The change you mean, I don't know exactly what you mean, is it possible you mean this :?
https://www.mysterydata.com/enable-ipv6-cwp-centos-webpanel/

If so, if there is an update to those template files I will not be knowledgeable and will continue to use my custom template without the new updates / changes coming in.

I am surprised by what happened because of what I said, for months, the vhosts were never restored to default, they always kept the change I made (add my ipv6).

Regards.

Yes, in all of my servers I have, same issue.
I created this thread with this: https://forum.centos-webpanel.com/index.php?topic=11633.0
And also view others users with same problem: https://forum.centos-webpanel.com/index.php?topic=11635.0

Since 2 days ago, I have this problem, if execute manually /scripts/update_cwp or simple, wait to anacron execute this, my conf files of my vhosts are revert to default, exact that, If I rebuilt configuration.

This cause to me the lost trafic in 2 nights, because, in my DNS (I use vpn) I have set the ipv6 and in my conf file of vhost I set ipv4 and ipv6 but the dns to my site point to ipv6.

When this update are execute, this files return to stock files and lost all changes, include, my ipv6 add configuration.

A big problem for me because I don't want point to ipv4, I want point to ipv6 like this lasts months...

Thank you very much. It works for me! 💐
Sorry for the delay in answering.
The email notification went to the spam folder ...

Glad that worked for you and was helpful, remember, the spamassasin local.cf is not set in / usr / share / spamassassin.

It must be in another route, in this way, doing the aforementioned test of sending an email with the indicated subject, it goes to the spam folder and from there, the ones that it identifies as spam are renamed.

Hello.
I think it was a bug from one of the last updates. This morning when I got up my servers, none of them connected to the web (they are all Apache), I went to see the vhost files and they had almost no content, luckily I had a backup of these files, I restored, rebooted and came back.
But from the failure until I realized it, about 4 hours passed.
At that time I have seen how, CWP has started to launch updates (I would say 2 or 3 in an hour) which is to be congratulated, until the last one has completely solved it.
This bug is like the ones they have had in nginx: https://forum.centos-webpanel.com/index.php?topic=11627.0

I use ipv6, and every time there is a webserver reload I have to add the ipv6 by hand, is there a way to add it too, either a template or similar?

Greetings.

First of all, sorry for the delay of about 2 months in replying. I read your answer, and I really appreciate it.

However, during this time I have been looking for information by conducting tests ... etc ... and although I could have answered before, I have chosen to answer after having carried out tests and to say forcefully, that the results are positive after a month having implemented the last change / test.

Effectively your answer / solution solves the initial problem that I expose in this thread, even so, it has always surprised me a lot that, spamassassin raises the cpu consumption to 0.90 - 1.00 on average, regardless of the fact that, no matter how much we configure spamassassin such and as the cwp wiki says, also as it supports cwp (I requested support for it) never send any mail to the spam folder ... this was very strange to me.
The answer to this increase in cpu is that perhaps, I would have many emails on my server ...

The tests I have done on 4 servers, I have 3 for testing 1 in production.

Gradually I was eliminating mails from the main test server, and the consumption was always the same ... there came a day that, I eliminated all the accounts of that server, no account, no mail, nothing, the consumption of spamassassin was still the same, I raised the server to 0.90 - 1.00 on average. Something very very high.

Too bad it didn't save the url where I got the information, I did write it down in kate (linux notepad) and I have it saved in my documents. If you have saved the url, you could say the clear terms of the explanation.

Well, the change happens by modifying / etc / sysconfig / spamassassin file:
In wiki they indicate:
Code: [Select]
SPAMDOPTIONS = "- d -c -m5 -u nobody -s $ {SAHOME} spamd.log" But we actually remove the "-d" from the beginning, looking like this:
Code: [Select]
SPAMDOPTIONS = "-c -m5 -u nobody -s $ {SAHOME} spamd.log" If my memory does not fail me (and it is easy for it to fail) this causes spamassassin to be executed as a service (I do not remember exactly if it was a service or another ...) and now it does, spamassassin, without making the changes that you mention in your post and that I had also seen in other internet threads, it is always executed, without any crash and without load on the server, the server load is normal, if you are using apache, then whatever Apache loads or whatever, and during non-use hours, the server load is 0.00 and spamassassin is active.

The reason why, despite this, spamassassin does not filter, does not take the identified emails to the spam folder and does not rename them with *** SPAM *** as indicated in the wiki, is because it should not be configured in / usr / share /spamassassin/local.cf
Rather, it must be configured in another path.

After that, you can test by sending an email with the subject:
"XJS * C4JDBQADN1.NSBN3 * 2IDNEN * GTUBE-STANDARD-ANTI-UBE-TEST-EMAIL * C.34X" (without quotes) and it looks like the mail is put in the spam folder and renamed the subject to *** SPAM ***.

Greetings.

Hi DNA, put the solution here or send it as a public me on other 100 forums, anyway the people from cwp do not give you any solution how to configure correct postfix, spamassassin, any mail that enters and leaves to be scanned in time real antivirus, I have the same problem with clients, I receive a lot of unwanted emails, not to mention the mail quota, which even now has not been resolved.
I know that / those problems you indicate ...
