CWP auto updates
« on: April 27, 2021, 03:50:02 PM »
Hi,

is there a way I can disable this?  I would like to manage updates and test them myself.

Thanks

yes, by disabling cwp cron...however if you disable updates you could have a delay on some important security or stability update.
Also each CWP version is for the same security reason designed to have expire time so after that expire time it will stop working completely.

ok,

i've been using sentora for 5 years without any issues at all.

I migrate my sites to CWP 7 and even sign up for business support.

Everything was working fine last night and I get up to do my checks this morning and suddenly I cannot access any CWP admiin panels.

I get "An error occurred during a connection to mydomain.com:2031. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR"

I get session timed out.  WTF is this updating shit??

How can I trust CWP when this happens?

No network issues as my other servers are fine, and absolutely nothing has been changed by me.

I can ssh to the server and it's operating fine.

What happened last night with CWP? because this auto update shit is just not trust worthy!

Seconded.

I had 2 issues when the year started because of this auto update.

Updates are not supposed to be automated. Should be tested by the user first. Especially on production environments.

#1 priority is not have a broken server. Security comes after.

If you have the support service, just open a ticket to CWP support.
You can ask me to solve any problem with your server for some money in pm  ;)

Not sure what is going on after an update every other day or 3 days i have to run sh /scripts/update_cwp or most of the servers on box are not accessible. and the xxx.xxxxx:2087 is also down.

you need to check the logs, all the log files locations are specified on the cwp wiki.
If you are unsure then you should probably check with cwp support.

The entire CWP seems to be failing with issues as of the last few updates. I pay the pro non support this all started with the new version of CWPro with support. Issues from simple as set HTTPS for hostname.

Now with that said I get this everyday or every other day have to re log in or try closing browser then try again check image .

Also every other reboot i get this. error 500 so I run this

 sh /scripts/update_cwp
PHP Fatal error:  The file /usr/local/cwpsrv/htdocs/resources/admin/include/cron.php encoded as type [1/72]
cannot be decoded by this version of the ionCube Loader.

Just a major headache almost done with this mess.
