I think I messed up, I'm about to delete this thing for the last time, I set user permissions then lost access to the public_html
My site loads the default page from /usr/local/apache/htdocs instead of the index.html in home/user/public_html
Eve if I delete that index file in home/user/public_html it will show Index of /webftp_simple/

I added an index.html to my home/user/public_html directory which was working fine, but not now, I'm stressed big time.

1) I hope server hostname and domain name is not same

2) hope you havent installed additional apache. (yum remove httpd)

3) reinstall cwp apache (yum reinstall cwp-httpd)

4) rebuild apache vhost.

Any hostname I put in gives an error (ERROR: You don't have a valid hostname set!)
It doesn't matter if it's the same as or different to it still throws that error, anyway I got completely lost with this http/https puzzle.

Think rebuilding apache vhost screwed it up.

I'm using a subdomain which was working fine, I had it behind auto ssl etc etc now it's mixed up again.

My hostname is clients.domain.com on the vps
I set the hostname in the cwp panel to scr1.clients.domain,com still errors.
Jesus shoulda just bought cpanel or something.
Sorry a bit stressed been at it for at least 12 hours.
The whole point was to get blesta installed,
Had it all working then one click and it's gone wonky.

Hello Mate,
Tried everything you said above but still cant make my domain test.com connect to the /home/test/public_html/ folder
I am using cloudflare DNS maybe I have done some thing wrong.

But what is weird for me is that the domain cant't be pointed to the folder I have created the user.
any tutorial or step bu step guide will be helpful.
I have the domain registered and the account of the user setup I can reach the folder of my domain by going http://IP/~test[username of the account]/
This is the weird thing.

can anyone point out this issue/miss information bug call it whatever you want :)

It's maybe problem with vHost but DNS is also down!
I can't add record in DNS it's not detected!

I'm too having this problem.
Have someone succeed to solve this?
Can someone share the solution?

I have found the solution.

1.First when install the server go to Server Setings -> Change Host Name:
Chose something like sub domain of the domain that you plan to host the server, something like:
            panel.mydomain.com
Save changes.

2. Go to DNS Functions -> Edit Nameservers IP's.
Add nameservers you got from the Server provider, like you have to edit DNS nameservers on your domain in the domain panel from provider you have bought the domains.
      Mine Nameservers are:
ns1.contabo.net   IP:79.143.182.242
ns2.contabo.net   IP:178.238.234.231
Save changes.
3. If you have this problem : DOMAIN POINTS TO /USR/LOCAL/APACHE/HTDOCS INSTEAD OF HOME/USER/PUBLIC_HTML, do all sad n this page.https://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/default-page-displayed-for-all-domains
4.   when you type the command  ifconfig you should get something like this

That in the red square is the shared IP.
Go to the CWP Setings -> Edit Setings in the Shared IP: put the value from the command
Scrol down to the NAT Local IP: put the real IP from the drop down menu & Check the box Activate NAT-ed network.
5. Reset all services and all should be fine.

Got Simple solution after a long long research...

1. Delete all the users.
2. Add user (Use Private IP in server ips section instead of public IP)

You are done!!

This worked for me...

*****
simply rebuild the webserver main config (by checking rebuild vhost)
