I am getting "502 bad gateway" for CWP admin panel
« on: October 13, 2018, 01:46:22 PM »
Out of nowhere, I'm suddenly getting "502 bad gateway" on my dashboard when I access domain.com:2030

All the websites work just fine, it's only the server dashboard.

Any ideas what could cause this and how to fix it?

TIA!

Error I get: 502 Bad Gateway

Just restart CWP service and try again.

Login to SSH and perform following command

service cwpsrv restart

When you visit any website, it generates requests and sends them to web servers that hold the required elements. Each time a request is handled, the server sends back an HTTP status code with the requested resources.

In general, the CentOS Web Panel shows the 502 error page, when the underlying PHP handler fails to work properly. CWP uses PHP-FPM to process backend data.

PHP-FPM is an advanced and highly-efficient processor for the PHP scripting language. And, as a high-level programming language, PHP scripts require compiling before a web serverís underlying processor hardware can understand it.

Therefore, the PHP-FPM service must run on the same server as the webserver.

And, hence when this PHP-FPM is down, CWP fails in getting results and 502 Bad Gateway error occurs.
