Title: I paid for Pro and was charged by Stripe. But no answer in the Ticket #438687
Post by: cocholmesthree on July 09, 2024, 09:10:11 AM
Please check ticket #438687 confirm my subscription and activate my Pro.

From the ticket experience, I see that this is likely to be an abandoned project, and Paying for CWP Pro is not a good thing now anymore. I was happy with the Free and wanted the Pro.

Billing support is super slow.

1. This isn't an abandoned project.

2. Open 2 tickets 1 to billing, and 1 to support giving the billing ticket number.
You will get an answer.

Billing doesn't monitor the forums, unfortunately.

If you want, send me your base IP in a PM, and I can activate CWPpro for you, until you hear back from the billing department.

We are only associated with CWP as a reseller, and hence can sell & activate licenses.

Point 2 is a lie, I did that and the only thing I got was a threat to block me:

For us, CWP is already ruled out and with that plan, they are not going well.

Ah, I just figured out who you are talking about, Franco...

Not sure of his position at CWP, but he's not one of the main three.

Sorry for the delay, I don't enter this forum as much anymore, a sign that we are abandoning it.

I wrote one to each site and the only thing I received was all rude.

Anyway, really, I'm very happy that things are going well for you, but really, CWP is not stable, day after day we have problems on CWP servers, we even have direct support from team members through other means, but the panel is not stable, something always fails, if the email does not fail, nginx fails, if not all versions of php are stopped due to a failure on an already deleted account... etc.. etc..

I say the same thing again, for our part, this panel is under the radar, we have even already reduced partner licenses by half and we continue day by day migrating accounts from CWP to Hestia with this script:

https://github.com/Skamasle/sk-import-cpanel-backup-to-vestacp/blob/master/v-import-cwp

You have to check when moving, but it helps a lot.

So far, 0 support given to any problem in VPS from clients with hestia, much more stable, I hope I don't regret it.

Greetings!

To each his own -- I have demoed Hestia in the past and it felt very limited. Granted, they have been working on it over those years, but I would be reluctant to move off of Enterprise Linux releases over to a Debian base. Also, I prefer postfix to Exim, and other differences and pain points. Also lack of cPanel-alike familiarity for my customers is a deal-killer. I know I personally could get used to a switch in an admin panel, but to pull the rug out from under a slew of end users would not go over well for me.

It's really depressing that abandoned projects kept open billing and charging and such incidents are happening. If any project seems to be abandoned, I think they should not keep open the purchase page and show a message about this.

It was a waste of time and money.
Thank you everyone for your time.

It's not 'abandoned'. I don't know how you came to that misinterpretation.

I even sent you a temporary solution the same day (2024-07-09) 7 hours after your original post.

That you never responded to.

Isn't the fact that a third party from the "Lending a License" forum has to help this person a sign of being abandoned? I think this person indicates that he has paid and they have not responded to him. I could also help you by activating a license, but it is not the right thing to do.

By the way, to what I have read before, yes, I also tried Hestia a long time ago and I discarded it by choosing CWP, at that time, it seemed like a good choice, today I think it was a bad decision.

The only thing we are missing in Hestia is currently the autologin in the email, which CWP also did not have at the beginning until we requested it.

We ALL understand you HATE CWP, and keep advertising on here now for Hestia, we got it...

When I place a support ticket, I get an answer within 12 hours or less.
Yes, we are a Reseller and have out own interfcae for adding licenses, so should of you being a 'NOC Partner'.

They do sometimes fall a little behind in releasing an update that includes the new PHP, but lately they have kept on top of that also.

Hestia runs on Debian or the consumer version ubuntu. And not a RHEL-base OS.
There are thing that OS is better for, and some that it worse.

One is EXIM which lags behind Postfix and even Sendmail.

To bad hestaCP's last release on 2023-11-27 with 1.8.11, Almost 8 months ago.
Last CWP updated was on 2024-07-06 with 0.9.8.1181.
Now which one sounds 'abandoned' 8 months or 7 days?

FYI - Hestia IS based on a past abandoned project Vesta. Which looks like they announced a new redo in September 2024 and are bringing back to life, maybe, we will see in September.

aaPanel works on AlmaLinux 8 and 9. Even Debian. And is free also.

aaPanel-Pro is the paid version of aaPanel
aaPanel Pro has the advantages of more stable operation and faster technical service support.
aaPanel Pro is $288/yr -- pretty much in line with cPanel pricing at my usage/customer account levels. I am a cPanel refugee, so I say, "Thanks, but no thanks."

That solution did not work as well.

Update:
about 1 month ago I got a single reply after so long saying I was refunded.

But I did not get the refund yet. Nor the license was active. And the server is corrupted or all the sites were down.
I am not blaming them. I actually never should have purchased a license.
