User permissions settings
« on: March 27, 2018, 11:03:00 AM »
Hello,

I need to strict user permission on created centos web panel user permission on just write and rewrite.
we have installed centos wp on backup server and we want to restrict that user to just write and rewrite because user connects from web servers and copy backups from web server to backup server and nothing else.
we don't want to lose everything if happen that someone hack our web server and delete everything but if find out backup user that we use we don't want to give a chance to delete backups from backup server.
So created user needs to have just write and rewrite on directories ant nothing else like execute, delete change and etc.
Does anyone have idea how to configure this user on centos web panel.

kind regards.

Hello.

Try to use "FileSystem Lock" in CWP. This is the best way to secure your data.
You can ask me to solve any problem with your server for some money in pm  ;)
