Title: *Login failed* on new install

Hey

I have just installed cwp on a test server using linode (not sure if you need thast info sorry) using rocky 8 install was fine. asked me to reboot which i did. i can get on the login to control panel screen but when i login as root with the root password which works fine on ssh it keep saying login failed.

I did install it on a office pc locally last week as a test and it worked great and logged in with the root details.

am i doing something wrong?

Try a hard refresh Ctrl + F5, clear your cache, try a different browser and see if that works.

Sorry i should have mentioned that

i have tried chrome, brave and edge, on 2 different computers and also a laptop with a 4g sim card all are the same, think its best to rebuild the server?

I thought there was a script in the script directory  and a post here in forum. Found neither.

Only other thing I can of  is to restart CWP then wait for someone that can actually help. lol

I did find a script to restart cwp that didnt work. i also created a whole new rocky 8 install on a new vm on linode, installed it with the instructions on the site and the same again. wont allow me to login comes up with login failed. with 2 fresh installs. anything am doing wrong maybe?

To my knowledge Alma Linux 8 is currently the recommended OS.

Thanks so much for still replying

finally found a fix. its a simple one but i just changed the root password on linux and then it allowed me on using the new root password.

Thanks @BeZazz for having someone to just give me ideas.

lets get playing with cwp again :)
